Electrically conductive contact element for an electric plug connector
The invention relates to an electrically conductive contact element (2) for an electric plug connector. The electrically conductive contact element (2) comprises a contact region (4) for making detachable electric contact with a mating contact element of a mating plug connector, and comprises a cable connecting region (6) for the connection of a cable. The contact element (2) comprises a cooling cavity (24), which opens into a distal opening (22) of the cable connecting region (6) which is arranged opposite the contact region (4).
ELECTRIC WIRE PROTECTING DEVICE
An electric wire protecting device is used in order to be capable of being installed in a narrow wiring area like one in a small aircraft, and to minimize a risk of an electric arc inside electric wire bundles at low costs. To this end, the electric wire protecting device includes: power wire groups each of which is an assembly of one or more power wires at the same potential; a tape for binding the power wire groups at different potentials from one another into one bundle at a constant pitch; and a spacer extending in a direction of extension of the power wire groups, and inserted in boundaries between the power wire groups.
MULTI-MEMBER CABLE WITH IMPROVED MID-SPAN ACCESS
A multi-member cable includes at least a first cable element and a second cable element. The first and second cable elements twist around a center axis of the cable in a counterclockwise direction multiple times to a first reversal point, then twist about the center axis of the cable in a clockwise direction multiple times until a second reversal point, with this pattern repeating along a length of the cable. Adhesion points are formed at intervals along a length of the cable to connect the first and second cable elements. The adhesion points may be spaced apart at an interval equal to a distance between the first and second reversal points. An outer surface of a jacket of the cable may include indications at the first and/or second reversal points, such as physical bumps or markings.
PORTABLE ASSEMBLY FOR DISTRIBUTING BOTH AC POWER AND DIGITAL CONTROL SIGNALS TO A PLURALITY OF DISCRETE DEVICES
A portable assembly suitable for distributing both power and low voltage control signals to a plurality of discrete devices is disclosed. Power and control signal input connectors are attached by flexible cable to a junction point. A first set of power and control signal output connectors are attached by flexible cable to the same junction point. A second set of power and control signal output connectors is located proximate to the junction point. Contacts of all three power connectors and of all three control signal connectors having the same function are made electrically common, such that power and control signals applied to the input connectors are available at both output connectors. The arrangement of elements reduces the number of cables and connections required to share power and data relative to prior art methods.
Medium-voltage cable joint
A kit for joining opposing ends of two medium-voltage (between about 3.3 kV and about 52 kV) electrical power distribution cables, comprising an electrically-conductive connector for connecting the conductors of the cables, an electrically-insulating surround material for enveloping the connector, a partial discharge detector, comprising a generally cylindrical, electrically-conductive sheath around the insulating surround, from which an electrically-conductive element extends in an axial direction along the length of at least one of the cables, an outer protective tube for surrounding the remainder of the kit, wherein the conductive element is sufficiently long to project out of the protective tube. A partial discharge detector and a medium voltage cable run are also described.
ELECTRICAL SENSOR ASSEMBLY
A sensor assembly includes a connecting bar extending along a longitudinal axis and a tubular body extending along the longitudinal axis and at least partially surrounding the connecting bar such that the tubular body is radially spaced from the connecting bar. The tubular body includes a first skirt portion, a first plurality of cantilevered tabs extending from the first skirt portion in a first direction parallel to the longitudinal axis, a second skirt portion, and a second plurality of cantilevered tabs extending from the second skirt portion in a second direction opposite the first direction.
Superconductor Article with Directional Flux Pinning
A method and composition for doped HTS tapes having directional flux pinning and critical current.
Movable plug extension-cable system and methods thereof
The exemplified systems and methods provide an extension cord system having a cord that is configured to slidably guide a movable plug carriage having conventional plug receptacle. In some embodiments, the movable plug carriage is configured with pierce-able conductors that can be inserted and retracted from a sealed skin of the cord. In other embodiments, the sealed skin can be fastened and unfastened by the movable plug carriage as the movable plug carriage moves over the cord. In yet other embodiments, the movable plug carriage is attachable and detachable from the cord.
HVDC Power Cable With Water-Blocking Capability
A high voltage DC power cable designed for voltages of 320 kV or higher, including: a multi-wire conductor, an inner semiconducting layer arranged around the multi-wire conductor, the inner semiconducting layer forming a screen layer for the multi-wire conductor, a solid insulation system arranged around the inner semiconducting layer, and a water-blocking compound configured to restrict water migration into the high voltage DC power cable.
COMPOSITE CABLE FOR VEHICLE AND COMPOSITE CABLE ASSEMBLY INCLUDING SAME
The present disclosure relates to a composite cable for a vehicle and a composite cable assembly, which are capable of simultaneously providing a communication function and power to an electronic parking brake (EPB) and an anti-lock brake system (ABS) for use in a vehicle, and maximizing electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) shielding performance between internal components or external cables.
