Wire Inventory Indexing System
A computerized discrete wire inventory indexing system organizes and automates the intake of wiring used in a wire harness assembly work cell. Functions in a work cell may be duplicated into a second arrangement symmetrically opposite to a first arrangement so that an indexing system in accordance with the invention may operate between or alongside the adjacent work cells to execute its tasks in tandem and produce pairs of wires to be used within the two work cells. The wire indexing system operates with a tandem wire pulling machine on a movable shuttle that grabs pairs of wires from the indexing system and draws them to length. Both the shuttle and the wire indexing system may includes fixtures for stripping and terminating wires by crimping terminals onto prepared wire ends. Computer control enables rapid and correct wire production and efficient process change-overs.

A photoirradiation device includes an insertion path for inserting a wire rod; a first reflector having a circular arc shape centered on a point shifted from a center of the insertion path by a first distance, one side of the first reflector facing the insertion path being a reflective surface; a second reflector disposed adjacent open edges of the first reflector and having a circular arc shape centered on a point shifted from the center of the insertion path by a second distance that is different from the first distance, one side of the second reflector facing the insertion path being a reflective surface; and a light source that is positioned on an opposite side of the insertion path from the first reflector and that projects light toward the wire rod.

An area ratio of crystal grains oriented at a deviation angle of less than or equal to 13 from Cube orientation is greater than or equal to 6%.

Provided is a device for processing an antistress cone of a main insulation layer of a cable. The device includes a support, a clamping unit, a cutting unit and an infeed unit. The clamping unit is mounted on the support and configured to clamp a cable. The cutting unit is slidably disposed on the support, capable of cutting the cable in the radial direction of the cable, and capable of performing feeding in the radial direction of the cable to adjust the cutting depth. The infeed unit is connected to and capable of driving the cutting unit and configured to drive the cutting unit to slide in the axial direction of the cable so that the cutting unit performs feeding and cutting in the axial direction of the cable.
System for wireline cable coating
A cable coater system for a downhole tool includes a cable coater. The cable coater may include a housing and one or more rollers that are coupled to the housing, wherein the one or more rollers are configured to rest on the downhole cable while guiding the cable through openings in the cable coater during wireline operations. The cable coater may remain on cable during all spooling (on and off) activities for the duration of operations and activated to coat the cable upon the final pull out of hole and prior to storage of the cable. The spooling in and out of the cable may further be automatically controlled by providing a positional indicator of the cable coater and thus where the cable is in three-dimensional space relative the spool.

Method for producing coaxial cables having a thin-walled, radially closed outer conductor
A method for the continuous production of coaxial cables (224) having a thin-walled, radially closed outer conductor of nonferrous metal comprises supplying a flat strip of the nonferrous metal to a shaping apparatus (212), wherein the thickness of the strip corresponds to the wall thickness of the coaxial cable. The shaping apparatus is configured to continuously shape the supplied flat strip into a form corresponding to the outer conductor of the coaxial cable and around a cable core supplied before the outer conductor is closed. After the shaping, two opposite edges of the flat strip lie flush against one another in a contact region and are continuously welded to one another by a welding apparatus (216) by means of a laser, which radiates light having a wavelength smaller than 600 nm. The laser heats a point in a welding region that has a diameter smaller than 20% of the cross-sectional dimension of the coaxial cable. The welded coaxial cable is drawn off from the welding region and, after introducing a parallel or helical corrugation, is received in a receiving device (226).
Solar cell wafer wire bonding method
A wire bonding system attaches wires to a solar cell wafer. The wire bonding system includes a feed tube through which a wire is drawn. Rollers contact the wire through openings in the feed tube to facilitate movement of the wire. The wire bonding system includes a soldering heater tip and a wire cutter. The solar cell wafer is placed on a platform, which moves the solar cell wafer. The system has multiple lanes for attaching multiple wires to the solar cell wafer at the same time in parallel operations.
ELECTRICAL WIRING HARNESS ASSEMBLY AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
A wiring harness assembly includes a plurality of electrical conductors having wires enclosed within insulative sheaths that are integrally formed of an electrically insulative material. The assembly also includes a lattice support structure that is attached to the insulative sheaths at multiple locations. The lattice support structure is configured to maintain a desired shape of the assembly. The lattice support structure is formed of filaments that may be formed using an additive manufacturing process The filaments may be arranged such that lattice support structure defines a plurality of hexagonally shaped apertures. A process for manufacturing the wiring harness assembly and an apparatus configured to manufacture the wiring harness assembly is also presented.
