20170229212 · 2017-08-10 ·

A composite harness includes a composite cable that includes a plurality of first electric wires, a multicore wire formed by covering a plurality of second electric wires having a smaller diameter than the plurality of first electric wires with one urethane-based resin inner sheath to be in contact with the first electric wires, and a jacket covering an outer periphery of the plurality of first electric wires and the multicore wire, and a molded resin provided at an end portion of the composite cable so as to cover an outer surface of the inner sheath at an end portion of the multicore wire. The outer surface of the inner sheath is irregularity-formed at least at a portion in contact with the plurality of first electric wires and a portion covered with the molded resin.

SPLIT SLEEVING TOOL

The present disclosure relates to a cable sleeving tool for applying a split-sleeve over a cable structure. The cable sleeving tool includes an inner guide member defining an inner passage for receiving a cable structure desired to be sleeved. The inner passage extends along a passage axis between an upstream end of the inner guide member and a downstream end of the inner guide member. The inner guide member also includes an inner surface defining the inner passage and an outer sleeve expansion surface for expanding the split sleeve. The cable sleeving tool also includes an outer guide member that surrounds at least a portion of the inner guide member. The outer guide member includes a sleeve containment surface that opposes the outer sleeve expansion surface. The outer sleeve expansion surface and the sleeve containment surface cooperate to define a sleeve passage having a transverse cross-sectional shape that curves generally about the passage axis.

Insulated wire, electrical equipment, and method of producing insulated wire

An insulated wire having a conductor, a foamed insulating layer containing a thermosetting resin having cells, coated directly or indirectly onto the outer periphery of the conductor and an outer insulating layer containing a thermoplastic resin having a melting point of 240° C. or higher when the thermoplastic resin is a crystalline resin or a thermoplastic resin having a glass transition temperature of 240° C. or higher when the thermoplastic resin is a non-crystalline resin; electrical equipment using the insulated wire; and a method of producing the insulated wire, containing a step of forming a foamed insulating layer by applying a varnish for forming the foamed insulating layer on the outer periphery of a conductor, by generating foams during baking and a step of forming an outer insulating layer by extrusion-molding a thermoplastic resin composition for forming the outer insulating layer on the outer periphery of the foamed insulating layer.

DIRECT WRITE DISPENSING APPARATUS AND METHOD

A direct write dispensing nozzle assembly and method of forming traces and twisted pairs via direct write dispensing. The method includes dispensing conductive material via an inner nozzle so as to form a conductive core. Non-conductive material may be dispensed via a peripheral nozzle surrounding the inner nozzle so as to form a non-conductive casing surrounding the conductive core. The first conductive core and the non-conductive casing may then be deposited on a substrate or other surface. The trace may be positioned on the substrate such that the non-conductive casing contacts a previously deposited trace. An additional conductive core may be dispensed within the non-conductive casing and the direct write dispensing nozzle assembly may be rotated so as to form a twisted pair.
