Variable pitch resistance coil heater
A resistance element includes a resistance coil having a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The resistance coil defines a plurality of first portions defining a first constant diameter and a plurality of second portions defining a second constant diameter smaller than the first diameter. At least one of the first portions and the second portions has a continuously variable pitch. The resistance coil may also further define two third portions, each third portion being disposed adjacent to a corresponding first or second end. The resistance element may be disposed between first and second conducting pins in a heater.

The cartridges may be assembled by transporting carriages between various substations at which parts are added to a base. In another assembly method, the base may be moved between a plurality of robots which direct the base downwardly into contact with components to couple the components therewith. An inspection system may inspect the cartridges at various stages of completion.

The present disclosure relates to systems, apparatuses, and methods for assembling cartridges for aerosol delivery devices. The cartridges may be assembled by transporting carriages between various substations at which parts are added to a base. In another assembly method, the base may be moved between a plurality of robots which direct the base downwardly into contact with components to couple the components therewith. An inspection system may inspect the cartridges at various stages of completion.
Voltage dividing resistor
Herein disclosed is a voltage dividing resistor comprising a resistance bar and a plurality of dividing connectors. The resistance bar has a first end and a second end and provides a first current path, which stretches from the first end to the second end along the resistance bar. The distance between the first end and the second end is less than the length of the first current path. The first and second ends are configured to be electrically connected to a power source. The dividing connectors are electrically connected to different locations on the first current path. Each of the dividing connectors has a contact pad. The resistance bar is not coplanar with the contact pads. A divided voltage is obtained from a pair of dividing connectors chosen from the plurality of dividing connectors.
RESISTOR
Herein disclosed is a resistor comprising a resistance bar and a plurality of dividing connectors. The resistance bar has a first end and a second end and provides a first current path, which stretches from the first end to the second end along the resistance bar. The distance between the first end and the second end is less than the length of the first current path. The first and second ends are configured to be electrically connected to a power source. The dividing connectors are electrically connected to different locations on the first current path. Each of the dividing connectors has a contact pad. The resistance bar is not coplanar with the contact pads. A divided voltage is obtained from a pair of dividing connectors chosen from the plurality of dividing connectors.
