Resistor, a heat dissipater and a combinatory device of resistor and heat dissipater

Disclosed are a resistor, a heat dissipater and a combinatory device of the resistor and the heat dissipater, and relates to the field of power electronics. The resistor is cylindrical, and comprises a metal end, an insulating part, a casing, metal bars, a resistor wire, thermally conductive insulating fillers and a metal connection mechanism. The metal connection mechanism of the resistor and the heat dissipater are connected by means of direct contact. The structure and the connection method can shorten the length of the resistor, completely insulate the electrical circuits of the resistor from the possible leakage of the water inlet- and outlet-pipe of the heat dissipater, and enable the combinatory device of the resistor and the heat dissipater to be structurally more compact and the connections thereof cleaner.

RESISTANCE ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

A frequency-dependent resistance element includes an element assembly composed of a sintered magnetic material and a coil conductor embedded in the element assembly. The sintered magnetic material is composed of a primary component containing Fe, Zn, Ni, and Cu and a secondary component containing Co. In the primary component, on a percent by mole basis, the Fe content is 46.79 to 47.69, the Zn content is 12.60 to 24.84, and the Ni content is 19.21 to 32.36 in terms of Fe.sub.2O.sub.3, ZnO, and NiO, respectively. The molar ratio (Ni:Zn) of Ni to Zn is (1X):X, where X is from about 0.28 to about 0.56. The content of Co in terms of Co.sub.3O.sub.4 is 1.0 to 10.0 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the primary component containing Fe, Zn, Ni, and Cu in terms of Fe.sub.2O.sub.3, ZnO, NiO, and CuO, respectively.

Load resistor supports

A resistor support assembly includes first, second, third, and fourth support members. Each of the first and second support members includes one or more resistor contact regions and apertures extending therethrough. Each third support member is at least partially disposed within one of the apertures of one of the first support members and one of the apertures of one of the second support members. Recesses may be formed in the resistor contact regions of the first and the second support members, and one or more load resistors may be at least partially disposed within the recesses. The resistor support assembly may be used to mount one or more load resistors to a printed circuit board, without obstructing airflow through hollow portions of the load resistors. To reduce parasitic capacitance and inductance, the first support members and the second support members are formed from non-conductive materials.

Distributed healthcare communication system

A graphical audio station of a nurse call system is operable to permit a user to perform one or more of the following functions: establish a two-way voice communication link with another computer device in another patient and/or with a another computer device located in another staff work area and/or with a wireless communication device carried by caregiver and/or with a telephone of the healthcare facility; broadcast a voice page to a group of other selected computer devices; compose and send a text message to a portable device that is carried by a caregiver and that has wireless communication capability; browse web pages and/or view multimedia content, such as videos, hosted on servers of the healthcare facility and/or that are accessible via the Internet; view and/or acknowledge and/or answer and/or cancel alerts or nurse calls originating in a plurality of patient rooms.

Catheter monitor integration with patient support, hygiene and healthcare communication systems

Catheter monitor integration with patient support systems, such as patient beds, and with other healthcare communication systems including hand hygiene systems is provided. A patient bed that transmits bed data and catheter monitor data is disclosed. When catheter tubing is connected to a catheter monitor integrated into a patient bed, the bed automatically implements a falls prevention protocol. A countdown timer pertaining to removal of catheter tubing from a patient is displayed on one or more display devices. Monitoring for caregiver handwashing compliance in connection with use of a catheter monitor or a catheter kit is also provided.

Resistive grid systems

A resistive grid includes a frame and at least one resistive element. The frame has a first frame end and a second frame end opposite the first frame end. The first frame end and the second frame end are joined by frame sides. The first frame end has a first length that is shorter than a second length of the second frame end. The at least one resistive element extends between the first frame end and the second frame end. The at least one resistive element has a first portion proximate the first frame end, and a second portion proximate the second frame end. The first portion is configured to have one or both of decreased heat generation or decreased electrical resistance relative to the second portion.
