SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DIGITAL MARKUPS OF CUSTOM PRODUCTS
Techniques for generating and using digital markups on digital images are presented. In an embodiment, a method comprises receiving, at an electronic device, a digital layout image that represents a form of a product for manufacturing a reference product; generating a digital markup layout by overlaying the digital markup image over the digital layout image; based on the digital markup layout, generating one or more manufacturing files comprising digital data for manufacturing the reference product; receiving a digital reference image of the reference product manufactured based on the one or more manufacturing files; identifying one or more found markup regions in the digital reference image; based on the found markup regions, generating a geometry map and an interactive asset image; based on, at least in part, the geometry map, generating a customized product image by applying a user pattern to the interactive asset image.
Augmented Reality and Method Using Lenticular Lenses
A method of augmenting reality of an image, comprising providing a lenticular lens for viewing an image, wherein the image is a lenticular image comprising at least two interlaced images. At least two fiducial markers are provided in the image. A first sensor located at a first distance from the image detects a first fiducial marker, and a second sensor located at a second distance from the image detects a second fiducial marker, wherein the detection of the each of the first and the second fiducial markers triggers a computing process delivering augmented reality to a user via a screen. The second distance is closer to the image than the first distance, and the second fiducial marker is capable of being detected by the second sensor from the second distance, but not from the first distance.
Optimized sports article
Embodiments of the invention concerns a method of designing a sports article, including: (a) scanning at least one body part of at least a first person; (b) creating a first digital model of the body part of the first person; (c) creating a digital model of the sports article; (d) digitally arranging the digital model of the sports article on the first digital model of the body part, while allowing the digital model of the sports article to stretch digitally and (e) digitally modifying at least one property of the digital model of the sports article based on the first digital model of the body part and the digital model of the sports article.
Creating three-dimensional apparel imagery in an apparel design system
A system allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. The user's preview may be based upon a two-dimensional image of a wear pattern in a laser input file and, from a set of two-dimensional images of a base garment, create a three-dimensional view of the base garment with the wear pattern.
Methods and systems for stitching along a predetermined path
Disclosed is a guiding apparatus for use with a machine to facilitate performing an action along a self-guided path on a substrate. The guiding apparatus may include a support member configured to be attached to at least a portion of the machine. Further, the guiding apparatus may include one or more of lighting units, optical sensors, controllers, and user interface components, mounted on the support member, configured to identify an object, obtain position of the object on a substrate and perform an action along a self-guided path in association with that object on the substrate.
Artificially intelligent unit-of-one pattern creation for bespoke garment fabrication
A unit-of-one pattern creation method for bespoke garment fabrication includes loading into memory a test image of a base garment fitted on a model, processing the test image in a first convolutional neural network to generate different classifications for different portions of the base garment and flattening the different classified portions of the base garment to produce corresponding flattened patterns of the base garment. Thereafter, an image of a unique individual wearing a customer specific garment is acquired and processed in a second recurrent neural network trained with the different classifications of the first convolutional neural network. In response to the receipt of the acquired image in the second recurrent neural network, the second recurrent neural network classifies different portions of the acquired image and flattens the classified different portions of the acquired image in order to produce corresponding flattened patterns for a customized version of the base garment.
Fabric Response Characteristic Function for Laser Finishing
Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. A technique includes determining a fabric's response to a laser, capturing an initial image of a wear pattern on a garment, and processing the initial image to obtain a working image in grayscale. The working image is further processed to obtain a difference image by comparing each pixel relative to a dark reference. The difference image is converted to a laser values image by using the previously determined fabric response to the laser.
Three-Dimensional Preview of Design of Laser-Finished Garments
A tool allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs in three dimensions before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. Based on a laser input file with a pattern, a laser will burn the pattern onto apparel. With the tool, the user will be able to create, make changes, and view images of a design, in real time, before burning by a laser. Input to the tool includes fabric template images, laser input files, and damage input. The tool allows adding of tinting and adjusting of intensity and bright point. The user can also move, rotate, scale, and warp the image input.
