A logging system and method for operating a logging system are typically used in a wellbore. The logging system may include a logging instrument including a rechargeable energy storage and logging electronics, and a cable configured to trickle charge the rechargeable energy storage. The rechargeable energy storage may include an ultracapacitor. The rechargeable energy storage may be trickle charged through the cable from a remote power source.

A hard start capacitor replacement unit includes a capacitor container having a cover, a plurality of capacitors received within the container, each of said capacitors having a capacitance value, a common terminal mounted on the cover and electrically connected to a common terminal of each of said plurality of capacitors, a plurality of cover terminals mounted on the cover spaced apart from the common terminal and from each other, each cover terminal respectively electrically connected to one of the plurality of capacitors, a relay having contacts and being capable of opening and closing said contacts in response to a monitored condition of the motor, the relay having relay terminals, a fuse electrically connected to one of the relay terminals by a first wire wherein the fuse electrically disconnects the hard start capacitor replacement unit and the motor upon a failure, and a second wire electrically connecting one of the relay terminals and the motor, a third wire electrically connecting the common terminal and one of the relay terminals, a fourth wire electrically connecting one or more cover terminals to one of the relay terminals, wherein the contacts of the relay close to electrically connect one or more capacitors of the plurality of capacitors to the motor, and the contacts of the relay open to electrically disconnect the one or more capacitors of the plurality of capacitors from the motor.

A hard start capacitor replacement unit includes a capacitor container having a cover, a plurality of capacitors received within the container, each of said capacitors having a capacitance value, a common terminal mounted on the cover and electrically connected to a common terminal of each of said plurality of capacitors, a plurality of cover terminals mounted on the cover spaced apart from the common terminal and from each other, each cover terminal respectively electrically connected to one of the plurality of capacitors, a relay having contacts and being capable of opening and closing said contacts in response to a monitored condition of the motor, the relay having relay terminals, a fuse electrically connected to one of the relay terminals by a first wire wherein the fuse electrically disconnects the hard start capacitor replacement unit and the motor upon a failure, and a second wire electrically connecting one of the relay terminals and the motor, a third wire electrically connecting the common terminal and one of the relay terminals, a fourth wire electrically connecting one or more cover terminals to one of the relay terminals, wherein the contacts of the relay close to electrically connect one or more capacitors of the plurality of capacitors to the motor, and the contacts of the relay open to electrically disconnect the one or more capacitors of the plurality of capacitors from the motor.

A power storage device includes: a module stacked body including at least one power storage module including a plurality of stacked electrodes; and a housing constituting a first sealed space for accommodating the module stacked body, wherein the housing has a housing body including a cylindrical side wall extending along a stacking direction in the module stacked body and a plate-shaped bottom wall closing one end of the side wall and a lid being joined to the other end of the side wall and constrains the module stacked body in the stacking direction of the electrode inside the first sealed space by deforming at least a portion of the bottom wall and the lid so as to come close to each other due to an air pressure difference between the inside and outside of the first sealed space.

A capacitor module that includes: a plurality of capacitors each including: a first electrode and a second electrode that face each other, and a side surface joining the first electrode and the second electrode, the side surface having a pair of flat portions that face each other, and a pair of curved portions joining the pair of flat portions to each other, the plurality of capacitors being arrayed in a row such that the flat portions of adjacent capacitors face each other; at least one metal sheet arranged in any of spaces between the flat portions of the adjacent capacitors, the at least one metal sheet being in contact with the first electrode of at least one of the adjacent capacitors; a first bus-bar electrically connected to the at least one metal sheet; and a second bus-bar electrically connected to each of the second electrodes of the plurality of capacitors.

CAPACITOR WITH MULTIPLE ELEMENTS FOR MULTIPLE REPLACEMENT APPLICATIONS
A capacitor provides a plurality of selectable capacitance values, by selective connection of six capacitor sections of a capacitive element each having a capacitance value. The capacitor sections are provided in a plurality of wound cylindrical capacitive elements. Two vertically stacked wound cylindrical capacitance elements may each provide three capacitor sections. There may be six separately wound cylindrical capacitive elements each providing a capacitor section. The capacitor sections have a common element terminal.
