The composite electrode material includes a plurality of conductive material layers and a plurality of active material layers. The conductive material layers and the active material layers are alternately stacked along a direction non-parallel to the surface of the electrode, and are arranged disorderly along a direction parallel to the surface of the electrode.
ELECTRICALLY INSULATING CONTINUOUS FILM FOR AN ALUMINUM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR
A device includes an electrode stack including a plurality of conductive anodes, a plurality of conductive cathodes, a plurality of separators arranged between the conductive anodes and the conductive cathodes, and a dielectric material disposed on a surface of each of the conductive anodes. The stack has a top surface, a bottom surface, and an edge extending between the top surface and the bottom surface. A continuous electrically insulating film overlies the edge, peripheral portions of the top surface and peripheral portions of the bottom surface so that a central portion of the top surface and a central portion of the bottom surface are exposed. An electrolyte is disposed between the conductive anodes and the conductive cathodes.
Method for manufacturing electrode for aluminum electrolytic capacitor
A porous aluminum electrode has a porous layer formed by sintering aluminum powder on the surface of an aluminum core. The porous aluminum electrode, when subjected to a formation to a voltage of 200V or more, is boiled and then subjected to a first forming process in which formation is performed in an aqueous solution of ammonium adipate at a temperature of 80° C. or below and a second forming process in which formation is performed in a boric acid aqueous solution. When heat depolarization is first carried out, washing with water is performed for five minutes or more before heat depolarization; therefore, the porous layer is not destroyed.
