Modular wiring system for actuators

Exemplary embodiments are directed to modular wiring interface boards for an actuator, the interface boards including a body, electrical terminals configured to receive a signal from a field control device, electrical contacts configured to be placed in electrical communication with a backplane electrically communicating with an actuator, switching mechanisms, and a processor. Each of the switching mechanisms is positionable in a first position and a second position. The processor reconfigures a wiring configuration of the plurality of electrical terminals to accommodate different field control devices based on the positions of the plurality of switching mechanisms. Modular wiring systems for an actuator and methods of operating an actuator are also provided.

An action timer start switch, a breech block with an integral action timer start switch and a system for measuring internal ballistic data in a test weapon system are described herein. The action timer start switch includes a through-hammer adjustable contact having a first contact element and a contact switch supported on the breech block having a second contact element. The first contact element is adjustable for contacting the second contact element when the hammer is a position to generating a primer strike. The first contact element may be set by simply positioning the breech block in the in-battery position with the hammer in the ignition position and moving the adjustable contact relative to the contact switch through the breech of the universal receiver.

ATTACHING AN ISOLATED SINGLE STUD FUSE TO AN ELECTRICAL DEVICE

An electrical device assembly and method to attach an isolated single stud fuse assembly to an electrical device are disclosed. The electrical device assembly consists of multiple studs, one or more of which is replaced with the isolated single stud fuse. A conductive copper landing zone receives an electrically isolated steel stud. When the landing pad assembly is orbital riveted into a plastic housing of the electrical device, the stud is locked into the housing permanently. Electrical devices such as disconnect switches and power distribution modules, both of which include multiple studs, are good candidates for being adapted with the single stud fuse assembly.
