THERMAL MANAGEMENT DEVICE FOR CIRCUIT BREAKERS

A thermal management device for a circuit breaker includes: a heat pipe having an evaporator section, an adiabatic section and a condenser section; a busbar having a first portion including at least a portion of the adiabatic section of the heat pipe; a conducting busbar having a first end, a second end opposite the first end and a groove disposed on a top surface of the conducting busbar, the first end disposed adjacent to primary contacts, the second end integrated in the first portion of the busbar, the groove extending from the first end to the second end and including the evaporator section and the at least a portion of the adiabatic section of the heat pipe embedded therein; and an array of fins integrated to the second portion of the busbar, the condenser section of the heat pipe extending through the array of fins.

Three-position disconnector switch

A three-position disconnector switch includes an earthing contact, a power out contact, a power in contact, a piston, and a threaded rod. A length of the piston is such that in a first switch position an outer surface of a wall of the piston makes an electrical contact between the power out contact and the power in contact. The length of the piston is such that in a second switch position the outer surface of the wall of the piston does not make an electrical contact with either the earthing contact or the power in contact. The length of the piston is such that in a third switch position the outer surface of wall of the piston makes an electrical contact between the earthing contact and the power out contact. The piston includes an inner threaded section configured to engage with the threaded rod.

MOVEABLE CONTACT SUPPORT STRUCTURE AND SUPPORTING METHOD
20190139716 · 2019-05-09 ·

An exemplary contactor assembly includes, among other things, a moveable contact that moves back and forth between an electrically coupled position with a plurality of stationary contacts, and an electrically decoupled position with the stationary contacts. A support structure is configured to limit flexing of the moveable contact when in the electrically coupled position. An exemplary support method includes, among other things, transitioning a moveable contact from an electrically decoupled position to an electrically coupled position with a plurality of stationary contacts. The method further includes limiting a flexing movement of the moveable contact with a support structure.

Method and device for controlling relays of in-vehicle motor

A relay control method is provided for controlling an in-vehicle motor that includes a steering angle main control module. The main control module has a power supply relay is connected to a battery, a motor drive circuit connected to a fixed contact of the power supply relay via a bus bar, and a phase relay connected to the motor drive circuit via a bus bar. The motor drive circuit contacts a heat radiation part that has a higher thermal conductivity than the power supply relay. After the ignition is turned off and with the switches for the power supply relay and the phase relay remaining in the on state, a motor energization control is performed for maintaining a rotation stop state in the motor for a predetermined time, and after the predetermined time has elapsed, the switch of the power supply relay is switched to off.
