Electric rocker switch
10566154 · 2020-02-18 · ·

The invention relates to an electric rocker switch with an actuating element designed as a rocker. The rocker is thereby moveable back and forth between two positions, namely between an on position and an off position. The rocker is pivotably mounted on the housing for this purpose. The rocker interacts with a leaf spring, the upper end of the leaf spring is firmly clamped at the rocker via a longitudinal area and the lower end of the leaf spring is tiltably arranged on a contact element. The leaf spring has one stable arch shape in the on position and another stable arch shape in the off position with a curve oriented opposite the arch shape. The electric rocker switch according to the invention shows in an advantageous way symmetrical haptics for the on position and also for the off position, wherein the position of the rocker indicates the corresponding position.

Actuator and electric switching apparatus including a spring to provide movement of the apparatus and a rotary air damper. The damper is arranged to decelerate the spring during at least an end portion of movement. The damper has a toroidal working chamber formed by two circumferential housing parts rotatable relative to each other. Each housing part has internal walls which together define the working chamber. The first housing part has a rotatable displacement wall, sealingly rotatable in the working chamber. The second housing part has a stationary end wall of the working chamber. The second housing part has one recess in its internal walls. The recess is located less than 90 ahead the end wall as seen is the rotational direction of the displacement wall at an actuating movement. The recess has an extension in the circumferential direction that is larger than the effective thickness of the displacement wall. Alternatively the recess is on the first housing part.

A switch structure includes: a switch member that is deformed and receives a switch input, when force of a predetermined magnitude is applied thereto; a pressing member that presses the switch member; and an intermediate member that includes a first layer and a second layer, is interposed between the switch member and the pressing member, and is plate-like, the first layer being made of a synthetic resin and abutting against the switch member, the second layer being layered on the pressing member side of the first layer and being made of a material having a rigidity higher than the synthetic resin.

KEY SWITCH WITH NOISE REDUCTION CAPABILITY

A key switch includes a base, a key cap, a supporting mechanism, a link bar and a buffer member. The key cap is disposed above the base. The supporting mechanism is connected to the key cap and the base to allow the key cap to move relative to the base upwardly and downwardly. The link bar includes a lower linking end. The buffer member and the base are two independent components. The buffer member is disposed on the base and made of material softer than material of the base. A restraining structure is formed on the buffer member. The lower linking end movably passes through the restraining structure. When the key cap moves relative to the base upwardly and downwardly, the lower linking end is driven to move within the restraining structure correspondingly, so as to reduce noise during movement of the lower linking end relative to the base.

OPERATING MECHANISM FOR CIRCUIT BREAKERS

Examples of an operating mechanism of a circuit breaker are described. The operating mechanism includes a housing, a cam element installed on a mechanically driven first shaft, a transmission lever installed on a second shaft parallel to the first shaft, and a support assembly. The transmission lever is provided with a first roller element. The support assembly includes a fork joint that is to support a second roller element and a damper element coupled to the fork joint. During a closing operation of the circuit breaker, the cam element rotates to interact with the first roller element to cause rotation of the transmission lever to close the circuit breaker and rotates further to engage with the second roller element on the fork joint to initiate a closing damper stroke.
