Power switch enclosure
A power switch including a line input configured to receive a line voltage, a load output configured to output the line voltage, a contact, a switch, a housing including a rear portion and a front cover coupled to the rear portion, an indicator supported by the front cover, the indicator configured to provide an indication of the power switch, and an indicator lens positioned between the indicator and the front cover. The contact is configured to selectively electrically connect the line input to the load output, the contact having a closed position in which the line input is electrically connected to the load output, and an open position in which the line input is not electrically connected to the load output. The switch is configured to selectively control the contract between the open position and the closed position.
Control device base that attaches to the paddle actuator of a mechanical switch
A remote control device may control electrical loads and/or load control devices of a load control system without accessing electrical wiring. The remote control device may include a control unit and a base for the control unit. The base may include a frame and a mounting tab that attaches to the paddle actuator of a mechanical switch. The mounting tab may be monolithic with the frame. Alternatively, the base may include a resilient attachment member that extends from the frame and is captively retained by the mounting tab. The frame and the attachment member may be configured such that the attachment member is held in a fixed in position by the frame, or such that the attachment member is translatable relative to the frame. The base may include one or more alignment members. The base may cause a rear surface of the frame to be biased against the mechanical switch.

PYROTECHNIC CUT-OFF DEVICE
A pyrotechnic cut-off device includes: a pyrotechnic igniter, a conductive portion and a movable piston, the piston being able to be displaced in a cavity along a direction of displacement following the actuation of the pyrotechnic igniter between a first position of passage of the current in the conductive portion and a second position of cut-off of the current, wherein the piston defines a first sealing portion having a narrowing of section along the direction of displacement, and the cavity has a wall defining a second sealing portion which extends on either side of the conductive portion and which has a narrowing of section along the direction of displacement, the first sealing portion being in contact with the second sealing portion along a contact surface extending on either side of the conductive portion when the piston is in the second position.
Positioning member and keyboard containing the same
The disclosure provides a keyboard includes a bottom plate, a key unit and a shielding layer. The bottom plate includes a body part and a through hole. The key unit is disposed on the body part. The shielding layer covers a portion of the bottom plate and comprising a main part disposed on the body part and an extension part extending from the main part toward the through hole, wherein the extension part has a hole with a size larger than or substantially equal to a size of the through hole.

PROTECTION OF A SURGE ARRESTER WITH A BETTER PROTECTION AGAINST FAILURE FROM THERMAL OVERLOAD IN CASE OF A TEMPORARY OVERVOLTAGE IN AN ELECTRICAL GRID LINE
A method for preventing an electrical grid from failure in case of a temporary overvoltage includes providing an electrical grid line, a surge arrester and a disconnector device with a disconnector unit. The method further includes connecting the surge arrester at one terminal to the electrical grid line, connecting the surge arrester at its other terminal to a first terminal of the disconnector device, and connecting a second terminal of the disconnector device to ground potential. The method further includes interrupting the electrical connection in between the electrical grid line and the ground potential in response to a temporary overvoltage. The method further includes protecting the surge arrester from failure due to a thermal overload caused by the temporary overvoltage by operating the disconnector device before the surge arrester fails due to a thermal overload of the surge arrester.

Retrofit remote control devices
Remote control devices may control electrical loads and/or load control devices of a load control system without accessing electrical wiring. The remote control device may be mounted over a mechanical switch that is installed in a multi-gang wallbox adjacent to a second electrical device, such as another mechanical switch or an electrical receptacle. The second electrical device may be recessed with respect to the remote control device and may be brought forward towards a front surface of the adapter by loosening a first set of screws that attach a yoke of the second electrical device to the multi-gang wallbox, and tightening a second set of screws that attach the adapter to the yoke of the second electrical device. The remote control device may comprise one or more configurable attachment members for attaching the adapter to the yoke of the mechanical switch and/or to the yoke of the second electrical device.
