A circuit breaker has line-side terminals and load-side terminals for conductors of a low-voltage circuit. A mechanical break contact system is connected to the line-side terminals for indirect-coupling of the low-voltage circuit, and the other end of the break contact system is connected to an electronic interruption unit which has, by use of semiconductor-based switching elements, a high-impedance state of the switching elements to prevent current from flowing and a low-impedance state of the switching elements to allow current to flow in the low-voltage circuit. The electronic interruption unit is connected to the load-side terminals at the other end. The mechanical break contact system can be manually actuated such that contacts of the mechanical break contact system can be manually closed to allow current to flow and be manually opened to interrupt the flow of current in the low-voltage circuit.

A plain-face switch according to an embodiment is the mounted-type plain-face switch that is mounted into an opening, it includes a base unit that is provided at the back of the opening, a sensor module that has a flat sensor surface facing the side of the opening and that is supported by the base unit, and a securing unit that secures the base unit to the bottom surface, which is located at the back of the opening, and the securing unit is capable of adjusting the position or the tilt of the sensor module in the depth direction with respect to the opening such that the edge surface of the sensor module at the side of the opening enters a predetermined state with respect to the opening.

The recess may be shaped such that a perceived aesthetic of an outer surface of the veneer is preserved during formation of the indicia. The recess may for example have an organic shape defined by a curved outer perimeter that does not define any corners.

A contact wetting circuit 100 is disclosed for supplying wetting current to sense the state of dry contacts of a switch SW1 setting for an electronic device 10. The contact wetting circuit includes an RC circuit 110 having a resistor R1 and a capacitor C1, and a controller 120 connected to a power supply 130 of the device. The controller supplies a first voltage to the RC circuit to produce a charging current having an average current and/or a peak current below the wetting current parameter of the dry contacts. The charging current is used to charge the capacitor C1 during the first time period. The controller stops the supply of the first voltage to the RC circuit after sufficient charging to allow the charged capacitor C1 to supply a second voltage, across the switch SW1, to produce a wetting current. Thereafter, the controller polls and senses the state of the switch SW1, and performs certain operations accordingly.

A radiation therapy system includes an X-ray imaging system that is configured with a combined and simplified filter and collimator positioning mechanism. In addition, an X-ray imager of the RT system is only positioned at a few discrete locations within a plane that is a fixed distance from the imaging X-ray source when generating X-ray images. As a result, for each of these discrete imaging positions, the simplified filter and collimator positioning mechanism positions a specific collimator-filter combination in a specific location between the X-ray source and the imager.

The invention relates to a space-saving isolating arrester, having for at least two electronic components (EB.sub.1, EB.sub.2) to be monitored, with the electronic components to be monitored being fastened to a carrier (P) using a thermally softenable fixing means, with an energy accumulator (D.sub.1,D.sub.2) being arranged on each of the electronic components which—when a thermally softenable fixing means softens—displaces the associated electronic component substantially parallel to the carrier (P), thereby disconnecting the associated electronic component, and also having a mechanically displaceable display means (ANZ), with the mechanically displaceable display means indicating that one or more of the electronic components to be monitored has been disconnected, and with the mechanically displaceable display means (ANZ) being displaced by a disconnecting electronic component.
