SHIELD APPARATUS AND CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER
A shield apparatus and a resultant circuit interrupter are disclosed, wherein the shield apparatus includes a shield apparatus base and a protection apparatus, with the protection apparatus including a shield that helps to direct an electrical arc along a flow path through a number of passages and that will help to enable dissipation of the arc and the plasma generated thereby. The shield apparatus is mountable to a portion of the housing of the circuit interrupter within its interior, and the shield is situated adjacent at least a first passage.
Switch Device with Contact Cover
The present invention refers to a switch device with at least one contact point, the contact point having a first contact and a second contact, the first and second contacts being spaced apart from one another in an open position and electrically contacting one another in a closed position, the contact point being assigned an arc blowout device for generating a magnetic blowing field, the blowout field being such that an arc produced when the contact point is opened is blown away from the contact point. In accordance with the invention, at least one of the two contacts is provided with a non-conductive cover on a non-contact-facing side which faces away from the other contact, which cover prevents a base point of the arc from crossing the non-contact-facing side.
Two Terminal Arc Suppressor
A two terminal arc suppressor for protecting switch, relay or contactor contacts and the like comprises a two terminal module adapted to be attached in parallel with the contacts to be protected and including a circuit for deriving an operating voltage upon the transitioning of the switch, relay or contactor contacts from a closed to an open disposition, the power being rectified arid the resulting DC signal used to trigger a power triac switch via an optoisolator circuit whereby arc suppression pulses are generated for short predetermined intervals only at a transition of the mechanical switch, relay or contactor contacts from an closed to an open transition and, again, at an open to a close transition during contact bounce conditions.

DISCONNECTING DEVICE FOR GALVANIC DIRECT CURRENT INTERRUPTION
A disconnecting device for interrupting a direct current between a direct current source and an electric apparatus, having a current-conducting mechanical switch, a power electronics unit connected thereto, and an energy store which is charged by an arcing voltage generated on the switch by an arc as the switch is being disconnected. A pulse generator that is connected to the energy store triggers at least one semiconductor switch of the power electronics unit in such a way that the power electronics unit short-circuits the switch and the arc is extinguished.
Molded-case circuit breaker
Provided is a molded case circuit breaker including a front space, a rear space divided from the front space, a fixed contact unit provided on one side of the front space and in electric contact with one of a power supply and a load, a movable contact unit installed in the front space to be movable and in contact with the fixed contact unit, a switching device installed in the rear space and operating to allow the movable contact unit to be in selective contact with the fixed contact unit, an operation device installed in the front space and the rear space and transferring the movable contact unit according to operation of the switching device, an arc extinguishment chamber installed on the one side of the front space and extinguishing an arc induced while the fixed contact unit is being separated from the movable contact unit, and a barrier preventing backward movement of the arc from at least one position of a moving way of the movable contact unit, the position separate from the fixed contact unit.
NOVEL MAGNETIC SWITCH
A novel magnetic switch, comprising a housing, a terminal A and a terminal B, wherein an inner cavity of the housing is internally provided with a magnetic body and a tongue plate, one end of the tongue plate is movably connected to the upper end of the terminal B, the magnetic body, which is integrally linked to the tongue plate, is capable of being raised thereon; the other end of the tongue plate is disposed above the terminal A; the upper end of the terminal A is provided with an arc-removing apparatus, the arc-removing apparatus is provided with a stationary contact, and the other end of the tongue plate is provided with a movable contact. The magnetic switch has an effective structure, thus improving the work stability and prolonging the service life of the switch.
