20170316893 · 2017-11-02 · ·

A barrier includes a cover and an attachment apparatus and is usable with an electrical interruption device. The attachment apparatus includes a number of attachment structures that are situated on the cover and that are each structured to be engaged with at least one of the housing of the electrical interruption device and a number of terminal assemblies of the electrical interruption device. The cover is configured to overlie at least a portion of the electrical interruption device and to resist the entry of a probe of known dimensions into electrical contact with components that are electrified even when the electrical interruption device is in an OFF condition.

Switching device with a heat extraction apparatus

A switching device is disclosed, in particular a circuit breaker, with a thermal release, on which a moving switching piece is arranged by a contact link support. The moving switching piece is borne on a spring body and is arranged opposite stationary switching pieces. A heat-extraction apparatus composed of a heat-dissipating material is in each case arranged at the side, along the stationary switching pieces.

CIRCUIT BREAKER ARRANGEMENTS

Vehicle power module assemblies and manifolds

A vehicle power module assembly is provided. The vehicle power module assembly may include a multi-level housing defining first and second chambers, an inlet opening into the first chamber, and an outlet opening from the second chamber. The housing may be configured such that the chambers form a stepped manifold to influence momentum of a coolant flow between the inlet and outlet. A frame may support the housing and is located proximate to at least one power inverter. A screen may be disposed in at least one of the chambers to promote coolant flow uniformity to the outlet. The frame assembly may include a plurality of frames stacked in an array, and each frame may define a channel in at least partial registration with the outlet.

Cooling apparatus for an electrical or electronic device, and electrical or electronic device, in particular a circuit breaker, comprising such cooling apparatus

Cooling apparatus cooling for an electrical or electronic device, comprising an at least partially hollow body containing a refrigerant and having a plurality of electrically conductive sections Each electrically conductive section has a respective coupling portion suitable to be operatively associated with a corresponding electrically conductive part of the electrical or electronic device, wherein the at least partially hollow body further comprises one or more electrically insulating sections. Each electrically insulating section is positioned between and electrically insulates from each other two adjacent electrically conductive sections.

Circuit breaker enclosure having integrated pass-through

An enclosure of a circuit breaker that includes an interior region and a pass-through. The interior region can be sized to house a circuit interrupter and a dielectric insulating medium. The pass-through can include a pathway having a first open end and a second open end, the first and second open ends being in direct fluid communication with each other through the pathway. The first and second open ends can be secured to the enclosure such that the pass-through is integral to the enclosure, such as, for example, being part of a monolithic structure or constructed to form a unitary body. Additionally, the pathway may not be in direct fluid communication with the interior region of the enclosure. Further, the pass-through can be offset from, or extend directly into, the interior region of the enclosure.
