A multiway switching device may comprise a wireless device in communication with a relay and a manual switch of the device. A toggle state of the relay may be indicative of an electrical configuration between conductors and rectifier circuits of the multiway switching device. The wireless device may receive, from the manual switch or from an external device, a signal indicative of a modification to the toggle state of the relay. Based on the signal, the wireless device may cause the modification to the toggle state of the relay. The wireless device may cause output of a status signal indicative of the modification to the toggle state of the relay.

A switching device is for a low-voltage electric circuit having a plurality of conductors. In an embodiment, the switching device includes a housing having connection contacts arranged on the housing for connection of conductors of the low-voltage electric circuit; and a mechanical unit situated in the housing having an isolating function and an OFF or IN position, the mechanical unit including isolating contacts for galvanically interrupting the conductors of the low-voltage electric circuit. An electronic unit is provided which is connected to the mechanical unit in series on the current flow side; an auxiliary switch connected to the mechanical unit is provided and is connected in turn to the electronic unit; and the auxiliary switch and the electronic unit are designed in such a way that the electronic unit is highly resistive during an opening process of the mechanical unit.

Systems and methods for relay contact assembly reduction

Systems and methods for contact erosion mitigation are provided. To perform contact erosion mitigation, an order of opening/closing poles and/or contact relays of particular poles is altered, resulting in a sharing of potential arcing conditions amongst the poles/contact relays of these poles.
