ELECTRIC CIRCUIT SWITCHING DEVICE

An electric circuit switching device includes an igniter provided in a housing; a tubular space formed in the housing; a projectile having conductivity, provided at a first position in the tubular space in an initial state before actuation of the igniter, and configured to be projected in a predetermined projecting direction by energy of the combustion gas; a pair of first conductor pieces provided inserted, in a spaced apart state, into the tubular space at a second position closer to the projecting direction side than the first position; and a support disposed closer to the projecting direction side than the first position in the tubular space, and configured to receive, at the second position, the projectile projected by actuation of the igniter.

QUICK DISCONNECT ARRESTER

An arrester assembly including a first support member and a constant tension spring including a first end and a second end. The first end is mechanically coupled to the first support member such that the second end of the constant tension spring extends in a downward direction. The arrester assembly further includes a disconnector assembly that is electrically connected to the second end of the constant tension spring, a ground connector that is electrically connected to aground, and an arrester that is electrically connected between the disconnector assembly and the ground connector.

Switch for interruption of a direct current circuit powered by two electric voltage sources

The present disclosure refers to a switch for interrupting of a circuit in which two voltage sources and at least one load are connected, wherein the switch actuate quickly in an emergency. The switch includes a main conductor connecting both electric voltage sources and said load, bridged by a supplemental conductor which is in parallel with the two voltage sources and the load, and prior to activation of the switch, interrupted and electrically open. A branch with an integrated fuse is in parallel with the main conductor and linked at two connecting points between the two electric voltage sources while the connecting points includes a movable section which under pre-determined conditions moves from contact with the main conductor into an alternate position in contact with the supplemental conductor, resulting in an open circuit across the main conductor and a closed circuit across the supplemental conductor.

Solid state parallel arc isolating device

A high voltage contact control system includes main contacts on positive and negative feeder lines and a short circuit protection system configured between the positive feeder line and the negative feeder line. The short circuit protection system is configured to be operably connected between the positive and negative feeder lines and configured to selectively provide a bypass path between the positive feeder line and the negative feeder line to divert current away from the first and second contacts. The short circuit protection system includes first and second state arc prevention elements that can operate in at least two modes. The bypass path is established by having one of the arc prevention elements in a fully on mode and another either fully on or in a linear mode.

The invention relates to an electrical connection switching member having at least two electrically conductive contact elements and an electrically conductive contact piece for connecting the contact elements, wherein the contact piece is movable by means of a pyrotechnic drive along a movement path, and, as a result, the connection switching member can be changed from an electrically disconnected state to an electrically connected state, wherein the contact piece is designed so that the contact piece in the disconnected state does not electrically connect the contact elements and in the connected state electrically connects the contact elements, wherein the contact piece or the contact elements have at least one penetrating body, which is designed so that, during the change from the electrically disconnected state into the electrically connected state, the penetrating body penetrates into the contact piece or the contact elements by cutting or piercing. The present invention also relates to the use of the connection switching member according to the invention for short-circuiting a circuit on a fuel cell.

Three-phase arc quenching device with two pistons

An arc quenching device for a three-phase electrical switchgear. The device includes a first busbar, a second busbar and a third busbar, each of a respective phase of the three-phase switchgear. The device also includes a first piston and a second piston, each of an electrically conductive material. The device also includes at least one pyrotechnical actuator arranged with the first and second pistons to axially move each of the first and second pistons if the at least one pyrotechnical actuator is fired. The first and second pistons are arranged in relation to the first, second and third busbars such that said axial movement brings the first piston into contact with both the first busbar and the second busbar, and the second piston into contact with both the first busbar and the third busbar.
