SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR RELAY CONTACT ASSEMBLY REDUCTION
Systems and methods for contact erosion mitigation are provided. To perform contact erosion mitigation, an order of opening/closing poles and/or contact relays of particular poles is altered, resulting in a sharing of potential arcing conditions amongst the poles/contact relays of these poles.

Power supply system and method of controlling the power supply system
A power supply system includes a power source, a relay, a switch, and a controller. The relay is interposed between the power source and a load. The switch is configured to be coupled to the load in a state where the switch allows or disallows for power supply from the power source to the load when the relay is in a closed state. The controller is configured to control an operation of the switch. The controller is configured to execute forced driving control at a time of a closing operation of the relay. The forced driving control causes the switch to operate independently of a request for driving the load and thereby causes power to be supplied from the power source to the load.

ELECTROMAGNETIC RELAY
An electromagnetic relay includes a fixed contact, a moving contact, an electromagnet device, and a second coil. The moving contact moves from a closed position where the moving contact is in contact with the fixed contact to an open position where the moving contact is out of contact with the fixed contact, and vice versa. The electromagnet device includes a first coil and a mover. The mover is actuated on receiving a magnetic flux generated when a current flows through the first coil to move the moving contact from one of the closed position or the open position to the other position. The second coil gives, when a current flows through the second coil, at least a magnetic flux, of which a direction is opposite from a direction of the magnetic flux generated by the first coil, to the mover.
METHOD FOR ADJUSTING A MAGNETIC RELEASE MECHANISM
A method for adjusting a magnetic release mechanism includes steps: a first measurement of the present release current I of the magnetic release mechanism is carried out, a decision is made as to whether an adjustment step is performed, a start-adjustment current I.sub.J0 is selected, a second measurement of the present release current I of the magnetic release mechanism is carried out, a decision is made as to whether an adjustment step is performed and that in the event that an adjustment step is necessary, a selection of a certain differential amount ΔI.sub.J takes place, partial demagnetisation of the permanent magnet is carried out in a further adjustment step with the adjustment current I.sub.J formed in this way and the steps are carried out in succession until the release current I measured lies within a specified range between I.sub.TARGET.sub._.sub.min and I.sub.TARGET.sub._.sub.max.

SYSTEM FOR CONTROLLING OPERATION OF A CONTACTOR USING A HIGH SIDE SENSE CIRCUIT AND A LOW SIDE SENSE CIRCUIT
A system for controlling operation of a contactor is provided. The system stops outputting a control signal to open the contactor, and then measures a low side sense signal from a low side sense circuit electrically coupled to a low side end of a contactor coil, or a high side sense signal from a high side sense circuit that is electrically coupled to a high side end of the contactor coil, to determine whether the contactor has a closed operational position, and if not, the system stops outputting another control signal to open the contactor.
Plug-in power contactor and system including the same
A power contactor that includes a number of inputs for a number of power sources, a number of outputs for a number of loads, a number of separable contacts for each pair of the number of inputs and the number of outputs, and an electromagnetic coil. The power contactor also includes a control circuit structured to control the electromagnetic coil to cause the number of separable contacts to open or close, and a plurality of plug-in pins. Each of the plug-in pins is for a corresponding one of the number of inputs and the number of outputs, and is structured to plug into a backplane socket. The power contactor also includes an electrically insulating housing electrically insulating each of the plug-in pins from the other the plug-in pins.
