Human-machine interface for a self-supplied relay
A design of a protection relay, and interface with an operator of a protection relay, are disclosed. The protection relay can include a base relay for measurement of line current and for generation of a trip signal, a base Human Machine Interface (HMI) for user specifying of a base setting of an operating parameter of the protection relay, and an optionally active Human Machine Interface (HMI) unit having a processing unit to manage plural activities with controlled power consumption.
Switch
A switch that includes a sensor device capable of transmitting data related to a sensor signal of at least one sensor of the sensor device to an external unit through wireless communication.
Method for guiding installation of internal accessory devices in low voltage switches
A method for guiding installation of an accessory device in a low voltage switching device having one or more mounting locations for one or more accessory devices using guided mounting means including an image acquisition device, a display, and processing means executing a guided mounting program for guiding installation of the accessory device in the low voltage switching device. The method includes: acquiring an image of the low voltage switching device and displaying it on the display; identifying the low voltage switching device; displaying in an augmented reality view one or more points of interest of the low voltage switching device by superimposing possible accessory device mounting locations to the image of the low voltage switching device; displaying information concerning possible accessory devices installable in the low voltage switching device; selecting one of the possible accessory devices and identifying in an augmented reality view one or more possible mounting locations of the selected accessory device in the low voltage switching device or selecting one of the possible accessory device mounting locations and identifying in an augmented reality view one or more accessory devices installable in the selected mounting location; and displaying information concerning a mounting procedure of a selected accessory device in a selected mounting location of the low voltage switching device.
Air circuit breaker
Disclosed is an air circuit breaker including a safety cover. According to embodiments disclosed herein, a setting unit of an overcurrent trip relay exposed to the outside through an opening is covered by the safety cover, and thus manipulation of the setting unit is not allowed before opening the safety cover. Accordingly, an accident due to malfunction or manipulation of the overcurrent trip relay by an unauthorized person may be prevented.
Hazardous Location Compliant Circuit Protection Devices, Systems and Methods with Safety Lockout/Tagout Components
In one embodiment, a method includes, by a switch device, determining a position of an on/off input selector, the on/off input selector being located within a switch device, in response to determining the position of the on/off input selector is in an off position, operating one or more solid state switches to suspend current to one or more load-side terminals, determining whether the one or more load-side terminals of the switch device are electrically isolated, in response to determining the one or more load-side terminals of the switch device are electrically isolated, generating a prompt via a graphical user interface, and receiving, via the graphical user interface, one or more inputs, the one or more inputs including at least a request for safety lockout instructions.
Switching apparatus of the hybrid type including solid-state switches in series with electro-mechanical switches
A switching apparatus for electric power distribution grids including a first switching unit having one or more first electric poles, each first electric pole being electrically connectable with a corresponding first line conductor of an electric line and including one or more solid-state switches adapted to operate in a conduction state or in an interdiction state to allow or interrupt a current flow, and a second switching unit having one or more second electric poles, each second electric pole being electrically connectable with a corresponding second line conductor of said electric line and electrically connected in series with a corresponding first electric pole of said first switching unit. The switching apparatus further includes a controller implementing a robust control logic to the operation of said first and second switching units.
SYSTEM, CIRCUIT BREAKER, DISPLAY UNIT AND DISPLAY HOLDER
A circuit breaker system has a circuit breaker with a circuit breaker communication unit. A display unit contains a display housing, and the circuit breaker and the display unit are configured such that the display unit is latched to the circuit breaker. The circuit breaker and the display unit, in the latched state, are connected to one another by a plug connection, such that data of the circuit breaker are displayable on the display unit. A display holder is provided, containing a holder housing and a holder communication unit. The display holder is configured such that the display unit can be latched into the display holder, that the display holder and the display unit, in the latched state, are connected to one another by an electrical plug connection, and that the display holder is configured such that the data of the circuit breaker are displayed in the latched state.
Automatic configurable relay
An automatic configurable relay and a method for automatically configuring a relay. The relay comprises an input sampling module for coupling to a source to be monitored, the sampling module configured to detect a first value of a parameter of the source to be monitored; and a processing module configured to set a working condition based on the detected first value.
Hybrid switching apparatus of the withdrawable type
A switching apparatus for electric power distribution grids including: a withdrawable first switching unit having one or more first electric poles; a withdrawable second switching unit having one or more second electric poles and electrically connected ins series with said first switching unit; a controller implementing control strategies directed to increase the safety of the withdrawal manoeuvres of said first and second switching units.
ELECTRONIC MINIATURE CIRCUIT BREAKER WITH ENHANCED DIAGNOSTIC USER INTERFACE
A method for identifying a type of fault condition with a circuit breaker includes detecting by the circuit breaker a fault condition of a plurality of fault conditions, storing in a memory device a trip code representing a type of the detected fault condition, interrupting current flow through the branch circuit in response to detecting the fault condition, and receiving a reset of the circuit breaker. The trip code may then be displayed in response to a momentary press of a test button that is a short duration press, and activating an LED interface in the circuit breaker to indicate the trip code representing the type of the detected fault condition.
