COOLING DEVICE FOR CIRCUIT BREAKERS USING PARASITIC MAGNETIC FIELDS BASED FORCED AIR FLOW GENERATOR

A cooling device for use with circuit interrupters includes a housing structured to be coupled to a terminal of the circuit interrupter and formed with several ventilation openings, as well as a permanent magnet, a torque converter and a fan blade all contained within the housing. When the cooling device is coupled to a terminal of a circuit interrupter and current flows through the terminals of the circuit interrupter, parasitic magnetic fields are generated and induce oscillatory motion of the permanent magnet. The torque converter is coupled to the permanent magnet and converts the oscillatory motion of the magnet to rotational motion that rotates the fan blade. The fan blade is disposed near the ventilation openings of the housing so that air flow produced by rotation of the fan blade travels across the surface of the circuit interrupter terminal nearest the ventilation openings to increase convection.

Hot swap component and circuit breaking apparatus used with circuit breaker

A hot swap component is provided, which includes a movable portion and a fixed portion that may be electrically connected to each other by using electrical connectors. When a circuit breaker works, a pin that is of an electrical connector and that is located on the movable portion is correspondingly connected to a base located on the fixed portion, and the fixed portion and the circuit breaker inside the movable portion are conducted. When the circuit breaker is faulty and needs to be repaired and replaced, the movable portion can be pulled out from the fixed portion, and the circuit breaker is electrically disconnected from the fixed portion. An anti-electric shock protection mechanism of the fixed portion isolates a first base inside the fixed portion, thereby implementing safe hot swap of the circuit breaker.

A plug-in circuit breaker that includes a circuit breaker housing with a limiting hole and a opening and closing button. The circuit breaker further includes a locking member rotatably arranged inside the circuit breaker housing with an upper portion close to the limiting hole provided with a locking protrusion fitting. A lower portion of the circuit breaker housing is provided with a locking driving surface fitting with the opening and closing button. When the limiting hole is not shielded, the opening and closing button jacks up the locking driving surface to enable the locking protrusion to extend out of the limiting hole. The plug-in circuit breaker is closed when the limiting hole is shielded, so that the locking protrusion cannot extend out of the limiting hole. The locking driving surface limits the opening and closing button, so that the opening and closing button cannot press to the destined position.

Circuit breaker housing

A circuit breaker housing for holding a switching device unit and a number of connection contacts for a connection line and/or a busbar. The housing has a first housing part and a second housing part. In the joined, assembled state, the housing parts form a front side and a rear side opposite said front side and at least one connection side and end faces located opposite one another. A holding chamber for a connection module having one of the connection contacts is provided on the front side and/or on at least one of the connection sides.

A plug-in circuit breaker that includes a housing with a limiting hole, a button mechanism having a closing position and an opening position, and an operating mechanism actuated by the button mechanism. The plug-in circuit breaker includes a locking member arranged inside the housing. The locking member has a locking protruding stand opposite the limiting hole. When the button mechanism is in the closing position, the locking protruding stand of the locking member extends out of the limiting hole and limited by the button mechanism. When the button mechanism is in the opening position, the locking protruding stand of the locking member extends out of the limiting hole to apply an external force on the locking member for retraction. The locking protruding stand of the locking member can retract into the housing, and the locking member limits the button mechanism to perform the closing operation.
