A first electrical apparatus (3) comprises a removable mounting device (21) including a primary movable mounting element (17), the mounting device (21) forming a primary housing (35) in which a portion (13a) of a first rail (13) is able to be inserted. A second electrical apparatus (5) comprises a secondary mounting element (19), the secondary mounting element (19) forming, with the insulating casing (9) of the second electrical apparatus (5) a secondary housing (81) in which is able to be inserted a portion (15a) of a second rail (15).
OPTIMIZED SLOT MOTOR FOR REMOTE SECONDARY CONTACTS IN A CIRCUIT BREAKER
A slot motor for use with secondary contacts in a circuit breaker includes a top slot motor component structured to be attached to a moving arm of the secondary contacts; and a U-shaped bottom slot motor component including a base and a pair of legs extending upward from the base, the U-shaped bottom slot motor component structured to be separated from the top slot motor component by vertical gaps between the top slot motor component and ends of the pair of legs, wherein the slot motor is structured to generate a magnetic field producing a force to maintain the secondary contacts in closed position upon passing high current through the moving arm.
System and Method for Controlling Phantom Power Losses in a Building
A system for controlling the area circuits that stem from a circuit breaker box in a building. A switch activation unit is provided and is wired to the outgoing wires of a circuit breaker box. The switch activation unit contains a switch for each of the area circuits to be controlled. The switches are wired in series between the circuit breakers in the circuit breaker box and the area circuits. A control unit communicates with the switch activation unit and selectively controls the on/off state of its switches. The control unit is programmable and can activate and deactivate different area circuits at different preprogrammed times. The control unit can also be operated remotely using a link to a smart device.
Integrated circuit breaker panels
Circuit breaker panels for use in, e.g., residential and light commercial applications. The circuit breaker panels are configured to perform conventional safety functions and are also configured for remote control and monitoring. The circuit breaker panels can be constructed with remote control and monitoring capability, and circuit breaker panels lacking remote control and monitoring capability can be augmented to include remote control and monitoring capability.
