A keyboard threshold change apparatus and a keyboard in which thresholds of the ON-sensing positions of the keys can be individually changed and the thresholds can be checked with illumination colors. The apparatus includes a keyboard having a light illuminating key tops of a plurality of keys and a threshold change unit capable of changing, for each key, a threshold used to determine an occurrence of a press of the key; and a computer connected to the keyboard including a mouse to input the threshold and a display unit outputting the threshold input with the mouse as an image, when the threshold for a key is changed with the mouse, the threshold change unit changes, based on the changed threshold for the key from the computer, a threshold for the key in the keyboard, and the light changes an illumination color of the key for which the threshold is changed.

Key structure

A key structure includes a support shaft, a resilience sheet, a pedestal and a keycap. While the keycap is pressed down in response to an external force, the support shaft is moved downwardly and the resilience sheet is correspondingly moved. Since a resilience part of the resilience sheet is pushed by a push part of the pedestal, the resilience part is subjected to deformation. After the resilience part is moved across the push part, the resilience part is elastically restored and swung. Consequently, the resilience part collides with the inner surface of the sliding groove to generate a click sound.

This disclosure describes various configurations for a keyboard having multiple key assemblies. Each of the key assemblies includes a keycap and a key stem supporting the keycap that includes a protrusion extending laterally therefrom. A first biasing member supports the key stem and is configured to provide a linear feedback response during actuation of the key assembly. A second biasing member is configured to engage the protrusion during actuation of the key assembly. The second biasing member has a user-configurable feedback response. In some embodiments, the first biasing member can be a compression spring and the second biasing member can be a torsion spring.

Modification of user-perceived feedback of an input device using acoustic or haptic output

A feedback or a user-perceived feedback of an input device is modified using one or more output devices. The output devices include one or more speakers and/or one or more actuators. The output (e.g., acoustic and/or haptic) produced using the output device may enhance, amplify, mask, obscure, or cancel an inherent sound or tactile feedback produced by the input device.

MAGNETIC PRESS KEY

A magnetic press key includes a housing and a central shaft body disposed in the housing, wherein the bottom of the central shaft body is extended into the housing, and the central shaft body can reciprocate in the vertical direction in a base after the key cap seat is pressed, a first magnetic element is provided on the upper section of the central shaft body, a second magnetic element which can move up and down is provided under the coaxiality of the first magnetic element, and a third magnetic element is provided in the housing. The first magnetic element and the second magnetic element generate repulsive or attractive magnetic force, and the magnitude of the repulsive or attractive magnetic force can be adjusted by changing the magnitude of the energizing current of the energized coil, so that the use hand feeling of the key cap seat is improved.

KEYSWITCH WITH ADJUSTABLE TACTILE FEEDBACK

A keyswitch with adjustable tactile feedback is adjusted by an adjusting method. The keyswitch includes a baseplate, an upper housing, an upper bushing component, a lower bushing component, a keycap and a recovering component. The baseplate has an electrode module, the upper housing is disposed on the baseplate, the upper bushing component is movably disposed on the upper housing, the lower bushing component is movably located between the baseplate and the upper housing, and the keycap is connected to a connecting portion of the upper bushing component. The lower bushing component can rotate relative to the baseplate to switch between a first position and a second position. The lower bushing component has a first lateral surface and a second lateral surface with different shapes. The recovering component is disposed between the baseplate and the lower bushing component to upwardly push the lower bushing component.

Input devices with adjustable click force

According to various embodiments, an input device may be provided. The input device may include: a housing having an upper portion and a lower portion; a key top provided at the upper portion; a lever member coupled to the lower portion via a joint; a plunger; and a switch including a depressible portion coupleable to the key top via the lever member and the plunger; wherein the plunger is coupleable to the lever member at a distance from the joint which is different from a distance from the joint at which the depressible portion is coupleable to the lever member.
