BATTERY DISCONNECT DEVICE
Various implementations include a battery disconnect device that includes a breaker, a housing, and a bus bar. The breaker has a pivot portion and an actuation portion, and the actuation portion has an actuation face. The pivot portion has an axis of rotation about which the breaker is pivotable. The housing defines a chamber, and the chamber is in fluid communication with a gas generator via an inlet defined by an inlet wall of the housing. The breaker is disposed within the chamber in a first position in which the actuation face is adjacent the inlet and inlet wall and combustion gas from the gas generator pushes on the actuation face to cause the breaker to pivot about the axis of rotation of the pivot portion to a second position, which causes the breaker to break the bus bar.
Key button
Disclosed is key button (4) that includes a display surface on which character section (A) is formed, and a side face extending in a direction to intersect the display surface. The key button further includes transmission section (6) made of a light transmissive material, which constitutes the display surface and the side face, and shielding section (7) made of a light shielding material, which covers only a part of transmission section (6) other than character section (A) of the display surface.
Control panel for an appliance
A control panel for an appliance includes a tactile switch positioned on a PCB. An elastic spacer sheet is positioned over the PCB, and the tactile switch is disposed within an opening of the elastic spacer sheet. A rigid backer plate is positioned over the elastic spacer sheet, and a plastic film is positioned on the rigid backer plate. A related method for forming a control panel for an appliance is also provided.
Rotary Switch Suitable For Use In Adverse Environmental Conditions
A rotary switch fitted with signalling means to provide a visual indication of the operating condition of an actuator device, comprising a switch body made of metal or coated externally in metal and a cover is provided. The cover may be joined to close the switch body by means of a plurality of attachment screws in metal or externally coated in metal, each housed in seats arranged in the cover and in the switch body. In particular, inside the seat of the switch body there may be an insert made of a material suitable to prevent the circulation of galvanic currents between the seat of the switch body and the attachment screw.
Keycaps with reduced thickness
An illuminated metal keycap having a legend diffuser material that may diffuse light through a legend opened in a background layer. The background layer may be opaque and the legend may be transparent. The metal keycap is adhered to a scissor mechanism positioned above electrical switch circuitry. Included within, below, or adjacent to the scissor mechanism may be one or more light sources positioned to emit light through the metal keycap, around the perimeter of the metal keycap, and/or through the background layer.
POSITION INDICATOR
A position indicator for a tap changer of a tapped transformer comprises a display device (51) for displaying the current switch position of the tap changer, which display device (51) is stepped with each switchover and which comprises first and second display disks (21, 26); an indicator gear (10) that is coupled to the two display disks (21, 26) for driving them in a switch-direction-dependent manner and which can be coupled to a switching shaft of the tap changer; wherein each display disk (21, 26) comprises sets of numbers in an angularly extending or circular row; with each step one number of the row of numbers on the first display disk (21) and one number of the row of numbers on the second display disk (26) are positioned side by side such that these numbers represent the current switch position of the tap changer expressed as digits combined to form a multi-digit number.
LASER-CUT BUTTON VENEER FOR A CONTROL DEVICE HAVING A BACKLIT KEYPAD
A veneer configured to be secured to a backlit button of a control device may include a plate portion. The plate portion may have one or more laser-cut indicia defined therethrough, may have laser-cut rounded corners, and may have angularly offset outer edges that may be defined during an embossing process. The laser-cut indicia may be representative of a command for controlling an electrical load. The indicia may include an alphanumeric character, an icon, or the like, may define one or more substantially zero-radius corners, and may define respective inner surfaces that are substantially perpendicular to an outer surface of the plate portion. A laser-cut alphanumeric character may have variable (e.g., continuously variable) line width. The plate portion may define a rib that suspends a floating portion of the alphanumeric character relative to an open portion. The rib may define a thickness that does not exceed 0.003 inches.
Input Device Sensor Configuration
Input device configurations are described. In implementations, an input device includes a sensor substrate having a capacitive sensor to detect proximity of an object that contacts the input device. The input device also includes a flexible contact layer spaced apart from the sensor substrate, where the flexible contact layer is implemented to flex and contact the sensor substrate responsive to pressure applied by the object to initiate an input to a computing device. The flexible contact layer can include a force concentrator pad that is designed to cause pressure to be channeled through the force concentrator pad to cause the flexible contact layer to contact the sensor substrate to initiate the input.
Control device, in particular for a domestic appliance
The present invention relates to a control device having at least one front panel, at least one button panel arranged behind the front panel, and at least one switch responsive to a user's touch of a switchable area on a front side of the front panel in front of said switch. The switch includes at least one light source element arranged at a rear side of the button panel illuminating the rear side of the front panel, and at least one reflector element arranged behind the button panel and the light source element to reflect the light to the rear side of the button panel. The button panel includes at least one cut out that corresponds with the switchable area of the switch or more switchable areas of neighbored switches, so that the light can pass through the cut-out and the front panel to be out of the control device.
