The disclosure provides a base plate adapted for disposing a support unit. The base plate includes a thermally sensitive material plate and a connecting member. The connecting member includes a junction part joined to the thermally sensitive material plate, and a connection part extending from the junction part. The connection part protrudes from a surface of the thermally sensitive material plate. A key assembly, an illuminated key input device, and a manufacturing method of the base plate are also provided.

A keyboard is disclosed. The keyboard includes a keyboard housing and a switch assembly coupled to the keyboard housing. The switch assembly includes a switch body defining an interior volume, a collapsible dome positioned in the interior volume, an actuation member configured to actuate the collapsible dome in response to an actuation of the actuation member, and a cover coupled to the switch body. The cover retains the actuation member to the switch body. The keyboard also includes a flexible material coupled to the keyboard housing and extending over the actuation member.

A keypad device includes a circuit board having raised buttons disposed on a first surface of the circuit board, resilient switches disposed on a periphery of the first surface, and through-holes, wherein each of the raised buttons and switches, when actuated, closes a circuit on the circuit board and affects an input to the device. The keypad device includes a faceplate fastened to the circuit board, the faceplate having an array of openings configured to allow the buttons to pass through, bosses extending from a first surface of the faceplate toward the circuit board and positioned to pass through the through-holes on the circuit board, and plungers aligned above and in contact with the resilient switches such that when the plate is pressed toward the circuit board, in a region at or near a subject plunger, the subject plunger actuates the resilient switch that is in contact with the plunger.

A circuit interrupter including a line conductor, a neutral conductor, separable contacts structured to open to interrupt current flowing through the line and neutral conductors, a circuit interrupter circuit structured to detect a fault based on current flowing through the line and neutral conductors and to output a trip signal in response to detecting the fault, a trip circuit structured to trip open the separable contacts in response to the trip signal, and an audible indicator circuit electrically connected between the line and neutral conductors and being structured to output an audible sound in response to the trip circuit tripping open the separable contacts.

A push button for a control panel. The push button includes a button body and a reflector molded as a single, monolithic piece with links extending between the button body and the reflector. A divider of the button body is between a first light source of a printed circuit board and an indicator light guide of the button body. The divider restricts light from the first light source from illuminating the indicator light guide.

Systems and methods for identifying users via hand detection using a hovering keyboard are described. In some embodiments, an Information Handling System (IHS) may include a processor, and a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having program instructions stored thereon that, upon execution by the processor, cause the IHS to: detect a hand using proximity sensors disposed on a hovering keyboard coupled to the IHS; and identify a user based on the detection.

The present invention relates to night lamps and particularly to a detachable night lamp. The detachable night lamp includes a lampshade, a mounting base, a circuit board installed in the mounting base and having an illuminator electrically connected to the circuit board, a receiving chamber formed at the top surface of the mounting base. The receiving chamber has a through hole corresponding to the illuminator. A plug connector is installed at the bottom end of the lampshade for connecting the receiving chamber and the plug connector includes a cylinder connected to the bottom of the lampshade bottom, and a semi-circular fastening ring disposed on the outer wall of the cylinder. A fastening block is disposed on an inner wall of the receiving chamber for connecting the semi-circular fastening ring. The mounting base and the lampshade have a detachable design.

The present invention discloses a keycap for keys of a keyboard device, wherein the keys are configured on the keyboard, and the keycap is configured on a key body. The keycap includes: a top fabric layer, a keycap body including an upper surface outline, and a molding film. The top fabric layer is used for engraving to have a symbol thereon to transmit light therethrough, wherein each symbol indicates a specific keycap. The molding film is disposed between the top fabric layer and the keycap body to render the top fabric layer in a specific shape matching with the upper surface outline. In the present invention, the problems with the symbols of the keycaps becoming dislocated, yellowed and deformed when the keycaps are manufactured with currently available techniques can be overcome, and users can clearly see the symbols on a backlit keyboard.

The present invention discloses a method to manufacture a keycap for keys of a keyboard, including: providing a top fabric layer and a molding film disposed beneath the top fabric layer; molding the molding film and the top fabric layer to form a film structure having an inner surface; and providing a keycap body having an upper surface, wherein the outline of the upper surface matches with that of the inner surface to form the keycap. In the present invention, the keycap is formed using the film structure and the keycap body by plastic injection or adhesion agent, the keycap is further manufactured as keys, and a symbol is engraved on the upper surface of the film structure by laser. Because the backlit device's light transmits through the keycap, users can recognize the symbols on the keys.

An operator control apparatus for a domestic appliance includes a carrier plate and an operator control element which is rotatably arranged on the carrier plate for setting an operating condition of the domestic appliance. The operator control element includes a front cap having a first transparent region and a second transparent region which is separate from the first transparent region. A light guide extends into the front cap to guide light from a light source such as to illuminate the first transparent region with a first light intensity of the light which is coupled out of the light guide, and to illuminate the second transparent region with a second light intensity of the light which is coupled out of the light guide, with the second light intensity of the light being different from the first light intensity.
