Finger activated switching device
09589749 · 2017-03-07 ·

A finger activated switching device has an enclosure with a top wall and a bottom wall, the bottom wall movable on a supporting wall. An upper lever is pivotally joined to the enclosure, and is upwardly spaced apart from the top wall in a first rest position yet is upwardly displaceable using finger pressure from below. A lower lever is pivotally joined to the enclosure directly below the upper lever, and spaced apart from it in a second rest position yet is downwardly displaceable using finger pressure. When the levers are displaced from their rest positions a restoring element moves the levers back to their rest positions. Switching elements positioned in force transmission mechanisms with the levers provide electrical switching actions when the levers are displaced.

A switch device includes a circuit module and a pressing module. The circuit module includes a plurality of pushbuttons and a light-emitting member that emits light having different colors when the pushbuttons are pressed. The pressing module includes an operating unit, a driven member and a pressing member. The driven member is moved alternately to a retracted position and a projecting position as a result of depression of the operating unit. The pressing member is connected to the driven member to press one of the pushbuttons when the driven member is at the projecting position, such that one of the colors of the light corresponding to the one of the pushbuttons is visible through the operating unit.

VACUUM CLEANER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

A switch assembly for a wet/dry vacuum cleaner is disclosed. The switch assembly includes a switch movable by a user between an ON position and an OFF position. An automatic shutoff assembly is operable in conjunction with the switch assembly to turn the switch to the OFF position in the event that a level of liquid within a tank of the wet/dry vacuum cleaner rises above a predetermined level. When triggered, the automatic shutoff assembly exerts a biasing force urging the switch toward the OFF position. A user can manually override the automatic shutoff assembly by providing a force sufficient to overcome the biasing force.

Portable electronic user device

A portable electronic user device, in the form of an electronic key, having an inherently rigid button for activation by a user. The portable electronic user device further has a flexibly deformable membrane including a first side having at least one support section on which the at least one button is supported via the plunger, and an actuating section, separate from the at least one support section, for receiving and forwarding an actuation of the button to an electrical switch element. There is a rigid frame which bears the membrane on a second side opposite the first side, wherein, in the assembled state, having the membrane in the region of the at least one support section, the frame has at least one breakout, via which the membrane is moveable by the plunger upon activating the at least one button and, in dependence on the size and/or the shape of the breakout, provides a force for resetting the button. As a result of the separation of the generating of the reset force on the support sections movable by the first breakouts and the switch function in the region of the activation section, there is great freedom in the design of the portable electronic user device, wherein reliable triggering of the switch element is always ensured.
