Example implementations relate to recessed keycaps. In an example, a recessed keycap includes a keyboard frame including recesses that extend at least partially through respective internal faces of the keyboard frame and a keycap including protrusions, where each protrusion of the protrusions is disposed at least partially within and in contact with a respective recess of the recesses to movably couple the keycap to the keyboard frame.

Illuminated dual pressure sensing key

A key structure includes a movable element, an elastic element, a light-emitting element and a pressure sensing element. The pressure sensing element is arranged between the elastic element and the light-emitting element. The elastic element is disposed on the movable element. The light-emitting element emits a light beam. The light beam is transmitted through the pressure sensing element and projected to the movable element to illuminate the key structure. While the key structure is depressed, the elastic element is pushed by the movable element. The pressure sensing element is pushed by the elastic element according to different magnitudes of the depressing force. Consequently, the key structure generates different pressure sensing signals.

The disclosure discloses a keyboard key structure. The keyboard key structure includes a switch circuit board, a first luminescent circuit layer, a switch element, and a keycap. The first luminescent circuit layer is disposed on the switch circuit board, and includes a plurality of miniature light emitting diodes. The switch element passes through the first luminescent circuit layer and is configured to contact the switch circuit board. Two of the plurality of miniature light emitting diodes are respectively located on two opposite sides of the switch element. The keycap is connected to the switch element and covers the plurality of miniature light emitting diodes. The keycap further has at least one light transmissive portion.

Keyboard switch employing a resistance strain gauge

A keyboard switch includes a base (1), a resistance-type pressure sensor (5) installed on the base (1), a spring (3) arranged in the base (1) and capable of being pressed on the resistance-type pressure sensor (5), a button (4) which presses the spring (3) and is in sliding fit with the base (1), and an upper cover (2) which presses the button (4) and is adaptive to the base (1). The resistance-type pressure sensor (5) includes two terminals (53) and an elastic sensitive element (51), the elastic sensitive element (51) being internally provided with a resistance strain gauge (52), and two leads (54) extending outwards from the resistance strain gauge (52); one ends of the two terminals (53) are respectively connected to the two leads (54), and the other ends of the two terminals (53) are separately connected to a PCB (6).

KEYBOARD FOR ELECTRONIC DEVICE

An input mechanism is disclosed. The input mechanism includes a dome support structure defining an opening that extends through the dome support structure, a collapsible dome positioned in the opening and engaged with the dome support structure, and a cover member coupled to the dome support structure and covering the collapsible dome, thereby retaining the collapsible dome within the opening of the dome support structure.

SWITCH AND KEYBOARD

A switch, keyboard and associated methods are provided. In one implementation, the switch includes a housing having a protruding portion configured to be received in an aperture formed on a substrate, a plunger operable to move with respect to the housing, a first contact member located in the housing, and a second contact member extending from the protruding portion of the housing. The second contact member is operable to, based at least in part on the plunger being moved in a first direction, deform to a predefined extent to electrically contact the first contact member. The switch provides a low profile appearance but not compromising the smooth and quickly responsive striking motion for a mechanical switch, such that a clean design can be provided while the input experience and durability are maintained. A keyboard is also provided.

Light-pervious bicolor key cap

A light-pervious bicolor key cap includes: a key frame, having a first color and formed with plural thin ribs, wherein front ends of the plural thin ribs are formed with at least one letter or punctuation in a continuous status without any notch; and a cap cover, having a second color, wherein the letter or punctuation is formed on a surface of the cap cover, an outer side of the cap cover is formed with a material filling protrusion allowing a plastic having the second color to be filled in, and an inner surface thereof is formed with at least one convex piece which is not fixedly combined with the key frame; so that through removing the convex piece having the second color, the letter or punctuation of the cap cover is prevented from being formed with any notch and capable of allowing the light to fully permeate.
