A safety mechanism for medical treatment devices includes a switch actuator that depresses a power activation switch after movement in a first direction followed movement in a second direction. The safety mechanism thus prevents accidental or unintentional delivery of power to a heating segment of the medical treatment device.

Remote control with one-piece casing and chassis

A remote control device is disclosed. A single-piece casing has a first opening at one end, a second opening at another end, an inner cavity between the first and second openings, and a front opening and key openings in a front surface. A keypad is disposed within the inner cavity and has keys arranged on a surface of the keypad which extend through the key openings. A chassis body is inserted into the inner cavity though the first opening and below the keypad. The chassis has an end part located outside of the casing. An edge of the end part is configured to abut against one end of the casing. An end insert body is inserted into the inner cavity though the second opening, below the body of the chassis. The end insert has an end part located at the another end of the casing.

The computer keyboard operable in motion includes keys and control circuitry, and communication means to connect the keyboard to an in-motion operable mobile computer. The keyboard has one key column for the thumb; one key column for the index finger; and one key column for the middle finger; one key column for the ring finger; one key column for the little finger. The keys on which the tips of the fingers rest at the same time do not form a straight row of keys. The keyboard enables not only touch typing but also voice/key interface mode operation of the smartphone to which the keyboard is connected. In the voice/key interface mode, the computer uses voice and the user uses key inputs to interact each other.

WIRELESS CONTROL DEVICE HAVING A FACEPLATE WITH ILLUMINATED INDICIA

A control device may include a removable faceplate, a planar printed circuit board (PCB), a structure located between the faceplate and the PCB, one or more LEDs (e.g., side firing LEDs) mounted to the PCB, and a light-guiding component. The structure may include an antenna configured to transmit or receive radio frequency signals. The faceplate may be configured to be mounted to the control device, and may include a light-conductive body and an opaque material provided on a front surface of the faceplate. At least one indicia may be engraved in the opaque material. The light-guiding component may include a planar portion and a curved portion. The planar portion may be located between the faceplate and the structure. The curved portion may extend between the LEDs on the printed circuit board and the planar portion to transmit light generated by the LEDs to the faceplate to illuminate the indicia.
