Switch device comprising two switches which share a common conductor
A switch device and a cooking device having a switch device. The switch device may include a first switch configured to be opened or closed based on contact or non-contact between a first blade and a second blade; a second switch configured to be opened and closed based on contact or non-contact between a third blade and a fourth blade; a housing that accommodates the first switch and the second switch therein; and an actuator disposed in the housing and actuated to selectively open and close the first switch and the second switch.
Knob structure for electromagnetic oven
A knob structure for an electromagnetic oven includes a knob switch assembly. The knob switch assembly consists of a sleeve button, a rotary encoder, a bracket of a display screen, and a control assembly. The knob switch assembly is connected to a printed circuit board through a through hole. A guide rib is disposed around a circumference of the through hole. The display screen with a protection assembly disposed outside is integrated with the knob switch assembly. The guide rib effectively prevents water from entering inside of the electromagnetic oven, lengthens a service life of the electromagnetic oven, and facilitates cleaning. The knob switch assembly integrated with the display screen realizes miniaturization and reduces a cost. The protection assembly ensures a display effect of the display screen.
Method of controlling an appliance door position switch for sabbath mode operation
A method for selectively restricting movement of an appliance position switch from a closed position to an open position includes positioning the pin within a channel of a body portion of a switch retention device and moving the body of the switch retention device in a first direction into an opening in a face of the appliance within which the pin is moveable from the open position to the closed position. Such movement is carried out to cause movement of the pin in the first direction toward the closed position. The method further includes continuing to move the switch retention device in the first direction such that a cap thereof contacts the face, and a tab extending outwardly from the body engages with the opening to retain the switch retention device in the opening and the pin in the closed position.
KNOB ASSEMBLY FOR COOK TOP
A knob assembly includes a front panel, a knob located at a front panel of an appliance and configured to rotate based on operation by a user, a valve shaft that is coupled to the knob and that extends through the front panel, a valve connected to the valve shaft and configured to control supply of gas to the appliance, and a knob sensor configured to detect a rotational position of the valve shaft. The valve shaft is configured to control the valve to adjust a flow rate of gas based on rotation of the valve shaft.
Operator control apparatus for a domestic appliance comprising a light guide for illuminating multiple zones of a front cap with different light intensities, domestic appliance comprising an operator control apparatus of this kind, and method for operating an operator control apparatus
An operator control apparatus for a domestic appliance includes a carrier plate and an operator control element which is rotatably arranged on the carrier plate for setting an operating condition of the domestic appliance. The operator control element includes a front cap having a first transparent region and a second transparent region which is separate from the first transparent region. A light guide extends into the front cap to guide light from a light source such as to illuminate the first transparent region with a first light intensity of the light which is coupled out of the light guide, and to illuminate the second transparent region with a second light intensity of the light which is coupled out of the light guide, with the second light intensity of the light being different from the first light intensity.
Protective circuit for an apparatus
A protective circuit for an apparatus includes an accelerometer having an output and a microcontroller coupled to the output of the accelerometer. The protective circuit also includes a switch for controlling the apparatus coupled to an output of the microcontroller and a load coupled to the switch. A power source is coupled to the load and the switch. In operation the microcontroller is cable of sending a signal to the switch to turn of power to the load when a dangerous condition as detected from the accelerometer data has occurred.
Household appliance comprising a knob with illuminated outer periphery
The household appliance of the present invention relates to a control panel by which the user can control the functions of the household appliance; at least one opening disposed on the control panel; a shaft that is disposed behind the control panel so as to extend towards the opening and that enables the related function to be realized; a knob that is disposed on the shaft and that enables the user to move the shaft; a sealing element that is disposed on the opening so as to almost completely surround the shaft.
Dishwasher appliances and user interfaces
A dishwasher appliance and user interface are generally provided herein. The user interface may be provided on the dishwasher appliance and include a control panel, a button body, a board housing, and a control board. The button body may be slidably mounted to the control panel. The board housing may be disposed behind the control panel along a transverse direction. The board housing may include a planar frame and a resilient cantilever. The planar frame may define a switch aperture in transverse alignment with the button body. The resilient cantilever may extend from the planar frame in forward biased engagement with the button body. The control board may be fixed to the board housing and include a contact switch positioned in transverse alignment with the switch aperture to selectively engage the button body.
Apparatus, method, appliance, and computer program product for operating a relay
Contacts of a relay may glue together during operation. This state may be measured and a controller may issue a pulse width-modulated signal at a certain duty cycle and frequency in order to vibrate the relay contacts to make them open again. Once this is the case, the process is stopped. This process may be repeated a certain number of times, and if successfully degluing is not possible, a notification may be generated. Also after a certain number of degluing cycles, a signal may be generated to indicate replacement of the relay.
