A tactile switch on a mobile electronic device having a housing is provided. The tactile switch is comprised of a pressure sensitive interface on an exterior portion of the housing, a switch mechanism, and at least one pathway coupled to the pressure sensitive interface and extending from the pressure sensitive interface to the switch mechanism. The switch mechanism is at a remote location from the pressure sensitive interface. The pathway is formed in an interior portion of the housing. The tactile switch further includes a viscous fluid substantially filling the pathway. The tactile switch is configured such that when pressure is applied to the pressure sensitive interface, the viscous fluid exerts pressure on the switch mechanism, causing the switch to make an electrical contact.

Toggle-type switch for portable communications device

A toggle-type switch for a portable communications device includes a circuit board to be positioned within a cavity of a portable communications device. In one instance, the circuit board includes a first flank, a second flank disposed opposite the first flank, and a central rib disposed between the first and the second flanks. The circuit board has a non-planar shape, such that the first flank and the second flank are each offset relative to the central rib. The toggle-type switch includes a first electrical contact element coupled to the first flank, a second electrical contact element coupled to the second flank, and a projecting lever located above the central rib and between the first flank and the second flank. The projecting lever has a first leg to engage the first electrical contact element and a second leg to engage the second electrical contact element.

When the pressing member pushes the moving member to move from an initial position along a first direction to a first position, the driving member moves the moving member from the first position along the first direction to a second position. When the moving member is in the second position, the driving member moves the moving member along a second direction to impact the pressing member, wherein the first direction is opposite to the second direction.

A push switch contains a case including a containing portion and a sealing groove; a pair of contacts disposed in the containing portion so as to be spaced apart from each other; a movable contact which is disposed above the pair of contacts in the containing portion; a cap including a base portion disposed on the case and a sealing protrusion protruding from a peripheral edge portion of the base portion toward a lower side for liquid-tightly sealing the sealing groove of the case; and a cover attached to the case from an upper side so as to hold the cap on the case. The sealing protrusion of the cap is compressively deformed in the sealing groove of the case, and thereby the sealing groove of the case is liquid-tightly sealed.

The handlebar is transitionable between: (i) a first configuration in which the second beam couples the second end, the window corresponds and exposes the power socket, the tab extends toward a first direction, and (ii) a second configuration in which the second beam is remote from the second end, the window is remote from the power socket, and the tab extends toward a second direction different from the first direction. A method for removing the power supply from a case of an electronic device is also provided.
