Embossed printed circuit board for intrusion detection
An embossed printed circuit board (PCB) for intrusion detection including a first security trace layer comprising a first serpentine trace monitored by a security sense circuit; a second security trace layer comprising a second serpentine trace monitored by the security sense circuit; a protected circuitry layer comprising circuitry protected from intrusion by the first security trace layer and the second security trace layer; and at least one embossed edge, wherein the at least one embossed edge comprises a fixed bend in at least one PCB layer, and wherein the fixed bend displaces at least one point of the at least one PCB layer a distance at least equivalent to a thickness of the at least one PCB layer.
Method and apparatus for authenticating and detecting circuit breaker integrity
A circuit breaker apparatus may include a housing, a circuit inside the housing for protecting the conductors and the load of the circuit, a display attached to outside of the housing, a controller, and a power control device. The display may be an electronically-alterable display that does not require power in situations other than changing its state. The power control device may provide power to the controller and the display when the apparatus is being tampered with. When the controller is powered, it may cause the power control device to cause the display to change from a state that indicates that the apparatus is authenticated to another state that indicates that the apparatus has been tampered with. The power control device may include a battery and a switch, or a power harvester, which can be configured to provide power to the controller when the apparatus is being tampered with.
FOUR-CONTACT MAGNETIC SWITCH APPARATUS
Switch apparatus (54), designed to detect relative movement between first and second members (60, 62), includes a switch assembly (48) comprising a switch unit (20), a biasing element (50), and an operating member (52). The unit (20) has a conductive housing (22) with first, second, and third electrical pin contacts (36-40) and a shiftable body (46). The body (46) is magnetically correlated with both the element (50) and operating member (52). When the members (60, 62) are close, the operating member (52) maintains the shiftable body (46) in one switch position, whereas when the members (60, 62) are separated, the biasing element (50) magnetically moves body (46) to another switch position, thereby detecting the relative movement).
Secure data entry device
A secure data entry device including a housing having at least one housing element, at least one additional element located within the housing, at least one force sensitive switch, employing at least one force sensitive film, disposed within the housing in force sensing engagement with at least one of the at least one housing element and the at least one additional element and arranged to sense tamper induced displacement thereof relative to at least another one of the at least one housing element and the at least one additional element and to provide an electrical output indicating tampering and a tampering responsive circuit, responsive to the electrical output indicating tampering.
PAYMENT TERMINAL COMPRISING WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS MEANS
A radio-electric antenna is shaped to be positioned in proximity to an insertion hole for a smart-card reader of a payment terminal
DETECTION OF THE OPENING OF A DATA INPUT DEVICE
A support element of a keypad included in a keyboard of a data input device. The support element puts at least one dummy key of a printed circuit board under pressure.
Peep-proof input keyboard for POS (point of sale) machine
The present invention is applicable to the field of POS machines, and provides a peep-proof input keyboard and a POS machine using the peep-proof input keyboard. The peep-proof input keyboard comprises a circuit board, a keyboard, and a peep-proof cover, the keyboard includes a plurality of keys configured to input information, a portion of the circuit board corresponding to the keys is provided with a first connecting finger configured for the pressing operations of the keys, the circuit board is provided with a second connecting finger configured to control the keyboard to work and be turned off, and a bottom of the peep-proof cover is provided with at least one support post configured to abut against the second connecting finger so as to enable the keyboard to work. By providing the circuit board with the second connecting finger, whether the keyboard can work or not is controlled by connection and disconnection of the second connecting finger; and by providing the peep-proof cover with the support post, the second connecting finger is connected by the support post, such that the keyboard can perform the input work. When the peep-proof cover falls off, the keyboard is in a shut-down state, that is, the keyboard cannot perform the input operation, so that the information input by users is prevented from being peeped.
DETECTION OF THE OPENING OF A DATA INPUT DEVICE
A security element for a data input device. The security element has a shape suited to closing contacts via each of its two extremities respectively on two printed-circuit boards of the data input device when the data input device is in the closed position. The extremities are not electrically connected to each other.
Docking device, transaction processing system, and notification method
There is provided a transaction terminal device including: a housing; a frame panel that is attached to the housing; a plurality of electrodes that is provided on a board disposed within the housing; a switch member that is inserted into a penetrating hole formed in the housing, and includes a conductor which electrically connects the plurality of electrodes and an elastic deformer which maintains an electrically connected state in which the conductor is in contact with the electrodes by urging force due to elastic deformation in a state in which the frame panel is attached to the housing; and a tamper detector that detects tampering through the releasing of the electrically connected state of the plurality of electrodes due to the detachment of the frame panel from the housing. A waterproof portion that prevents water from infiltrating into the penetrating hole is provided at the switch member.
PEEP-PROOF INPUT KEYBOARD AND POS MACHINE
