Medium voltage breaker conductor with an electrically efficient contour
The present disclosure provides a conductive member for a circuit breaker high voltage portion conductor assembly, the conductive member including a body with a transfer portion and a coupling portion. The body transfer portion has an electro-thermally efficient contour. That is, the body transfer portion has an electrically efficient contour and a thermally efficient contour. The body transfer portion includes a number of slots defining fins. In this configuration, the body transfer portion distributes current generally evenly across a cross-sectional area of the conductive member body. Further, the fins provide heat dissipation via convection.
High Voltage Latching Relay with Manual Actuator
A latching relay includes first and second coils and a common plunger operatively connected therebetween such that activation of the first coil moves the plunger in a first direction and activation of the second coil moves the plunger in a second direction, opposite the first direction, the first and second directions lying in a first plane. A limit switch includes a common contact and first and second coil contacts, where a position of the common contact is alternately switched between electrical connection to either the first or second coil contact based on a position of the plunger. A slide toggle accessible by a user is operatively connected to the plunger and slideable together with the plunger such that actuation of the slide toggle by the user causes manual actuation of the plunger. The slide toggle is slideable in a second plane parallel to the first plane.
Electric closing element
An electric closer comprising a first connection lug, a second connection lug electrically insulated from the first connection lug, the first and second connection lugs each having at least one recess in a contact region disposed within a guide housing, an actuator for driving a contact element, the contact element being disposed in a guide housing between the actuator and the contact region of the connection lugs, and by the actuator from an open position, in which the connecting lugs are insulated from one another into a closed position, in which the connecting lugs are electrically connected to one another via the contact element, is displaceable, wherein in the closed position the contact element is accommodated in the recesses of the connecting lugs and wherein the contact element is guided in the displacement direction simultaneously in the respective recesses of the two connecting lugs during the displacement of the two connecting lugs.
Disconnecting switch having anti-icing device
A disconnector with an anti-icing arrangement includes a main blade moving contact, a main blade arm, a main blade static contact, a main blade transmission arrangement and a main blade anti-icing arrangement. The main blade transmission arrangement is adapted for driving the main blade arm to move. The main blade anti-icing arrangement includes a main blade anti-icing shield and a main blade anti-icing shield transmission arrangement. The main blade anti-icing shield transmission arrangement is adapted for drive the main blade anti-icing shield such that the main blade anti-icing shield shields the main blade moving contact in an opened position to keep ice and snow and rainwater from covering a surface of the main blade moving contact, and moves away from the main blade moving contact in a closed position, to enable the main blade moving contact to be contacted with the main blade static contact.
COMPACT HIGH VOLTAGE POWER FUSE AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
A high voltage power fuse having a dramatically reduced size facilitated by silicated filler material, a formed fuse element geometry, arc barrier materials and single piece terminal fabrications. Methods of manufacture are also disclosed.
Rotary switch device
A rotary switch device includes a terminal base to which a center portion contact and a fixed contact member are fixed, a movable contact member, and a support portion. The movable contact member includes a contact protrusion part which is pressed in contact with the center portion contact at one end of the movable contact member and a first contact surface which is in contact with the fixed contact member at another end of the movable contact member, and which is operated to rotate around the center portion contact so as to short-circuit between the center portion contact and the fixed contact member at a conductive rotation position.
Thermal protector
A thermal protector includes, in a fixed manner, a first terminal and a second terminal that are respectively connected to external circuits, at lower left/right ends of the longitudinal directions of a base, and a right end at which a movable plate and a bimetal are superimposed is fixed to the right end of the upper surface of the base and is connected to the second terminal. A fixed contact is fixed to an internal end of the first terminal that is exposed in the left end of the base. A movable contact is fixed at a position facing the fixed contact on the lower surface of the left end of the movable plate. A partition wall that encloses the movable contact and the fixed contact from three directions is provided and bent plate planes are formed on both sides of the movable plate in the vicinity of the movable contact. The bent plate planes adjust the flow direction of hot air in cooperation with the partition wall so as to prevent a malfunction of a breaking arc flying to surrounding conductive members.
Switch disconnector systems suitable for molded case circuit breakers and related methods
Circuit breakers are configured with line terminal geometry that drives the current from a terminal input in a direction that can reduce electromagnetic forces and that can also or alternatively include an arc chute assembly that can reduce repulsive electromagnetic forces to improve the operating level of withstand current (Icw).
Fuse with a thermomechanical compensation element
The invention relates to a melting fuse, especially for a motor vehicle that has a high-voltage circuit, comprising an electrically insulating housing inside of which there is a fusible conductor that connects two contacts with each other, whereby, between two longitudinal areas that are adjacent to each other, the fusible conductor has a rotation point around which the longitudinal areas can be rotated in case of a thermo-mechanical expansion.
