CORONAVIRUS DISEASE (COVID-19) VACCINE
The present invention includes a vaccine comprising a SARS-CoV-2 spike protein (S) or portion thereof, and methods of use thereof.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR PULMONARY SURFACTANT-BIOMIMETIC NANOPARTICLES
Compositions and methods comprising Pulmonary Surfactant (PS)-biomimetic nanoparticles are disclosed. Specifically, the disclosure is related to a composition comprising a nanoparticle with an average size of 200-400 nm, including a plurality of pulmonary surfactant biomimetic molecules, wherein the nanoparticle is negatively charged; and one or more cargo molecules that are enveloped by the nanoparticle, wherein the cargo molecule has a molecular weight up to 1200 Da.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING ENHANCED IMMUNE RESPONSES AND RAPID ANTIBODY PRODUCTION
Provided are modified bacteria and derivatives thereof that express antigens of interest. In some embodiments, the bacterium has a reduced genome and induces an enhanced immune response against the antigen of interest when administered to a subject as compared to an immune response that would have been induced by a bacterium of the same strain that has a full complement of genes. In some embodiments, the antigen is expressed on a surface of a bacterium. Also provided are method for producing antibody against antigens of interest, vaccine compositions, methods for vaccinating subjects, methods for treating cancers in subjects, methods for modulating inappropriate and undesirable immune response, methods for targeting materials in or on a human or animal that may be the cause of disease or otherwise undesirable phenotypes, and expression vectors for expressing antigens on the surface of reduced genome bacteria.
COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS USEFUL FOR EBOLA VIRUS INFECTION
Disclosed are methods and compositions for at least preventing, treating, inhibiting, or attenuating an Ebola virus infection of a subject. The methods comprise administering an effective amount of a composition as described herein to the subject thereby at least preventing, treating, inhibiting, or attenuating the Ebola virus infection of the subject. The compositions comprise a therapeutic double-stranded RNA (tdsRNA) and additional optional components such as an Ebola antigen.
Therapeutic Agent Effectiveness and its Route of Adminstration
Disclosed herein are methods for generating a protective immunogenic response via intranasal administration of an immunogenic composition (e.g., vaccine)/therapeutic immunogenic composition in a mammalian subject. Certain dosing positions of the subject during the administration of immunogenic agents, such that nostrils are tilted upwards, while in a modified sitting, reclining and/or supine posture, is surprisingly correlated with the generation of a strong immunogenic response in both humans and animals.
METHODS OF SUPPRESSING MICROGLIAL ACTIVATION
The present invention provides methods of suppressing the activation of microglial cells, methods of ameliorating or treating the neurological effects of cerebral ischemia or cerebral inflammation, methods of ameliorating or treating specific diseases that affect the CNS by administering an anti-CD3 antibody.
Nasal hepatitis B vaccine composition and method for producing same
The present invention relates to a hepatitis B vaccine composition for spray-administration to nasal mucosa for preventing and treating hepatitis B, which comprises hepatitis B antigen and carboxy vinyl polymer.
Antigenic combinations against Francisella bacteria and related nanolipoprotein particles, compositions, methods and systems
Provided herein are antigenic combinations and related compositions, methods and systems for immunizing a host from an infection caused by Francisella bacterium. The antigenic combination comprises an antigenic polysaccharide component from a Francisella bacterium capable of triggering a humoral immune response in an individual, a protein antigen component from the Francisella bacterium capable of triggering a cellular immune response in the individual, and an adjuvant, the antigenic Francisella polysaccharide component, the Francisella protein antigen component and the adjuvant are in a suitable amount to immunize an individual against the Francisella bacterium.
CORONAVIRUS VACCINE COMPOSITIONS, METHODS, AND USES THEREOF
The present disclosure relates in some aspects to immunogenic compositions including recombinant peptides and proteins comprising coronavirus viral antigens and immunogens, e.g., coronavirus S protein peptides. In some aspects, the immunogenic composition comprises a secreted fusion protein comprising a soluble coronavirus viral antigen joined by in-frame fusion to a C-terminal portion of a collagen which is capable of self-trimerization to form a disulfide bond-linked trimeric fusion protein. In some aspects, the immunogenic compositions provided herein are useful for generating an immune response, e.g., for treating or preventing a coronavirus infection. In some aspects, the immunogenic compositions provided herein may be used in a vaccine composition, e.g., as part of a prophylactic and/or therapeutic vaccine. Also provided herein are methods for producing the recombinant peptides and proteins, prophylactic, therapeutic, and/or diagnostic methods, and related kits.
INFLUENZA VIRUS VECTORS AND USES THEREFOR
Disclosed herein are compositions and methods related to mutant viruses, and in particular, mutant influenza viruses. The mutant viruses disclosed herein include a mutant M2 sequence, and are useful in immunogenic compositions, e.g., as vaccines. The mutant viruses disclosed herein including a mutant M2 sequence are also useful to deliver antigens to a subject, e.g., to induce an immune response to the antigen. Also disclosed herein are methods, compositions and cells for propagating the viral mutants, and methods, devices and compositions related to vaccination.
