Electronic switch and remote control device including electronic switch
An electronic switch includes a rubber sheet that includes a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a convex portion on the first surface. The convex portion of the rubber sheet includes a semispherical shape.
Switch blocking device
A switch blocking device that is insertable into an open switch that prevents the switch from being closed, the device being sized and shaped to fit securely in a space between an open blade of the switch and fixed electrical contacts of the switch, the device having a handle that enables easy insertion and removal while also covering the live electrical blade.
APPARATUS AND SEAT ASSEMBLY TO PREVENT UNINTENDED SEAT ADJUST SWITCH ACTUATION IN VEHICLE SIDE IMPACT
An apparatus adapted to prevent unintended seat adjust switch actuation in a vehicle side impact or crash includes a wall, having a window, a seat adjustment switch behind the wall, an actuator connected to the seat adjustment switch and extending through the window and a stop adapted to limit displacement of the actuator when the actuator is displaced inboard toward the wall. That stop may be carried on one of the wall or the actuator. A new and improved seat assembly is also disclosed.
Rotary dial with touch pad input surface and directional tilting operations
A operation input device includes a lever and a dial serving as movable operation parts that are moved by a user to be operated, a touch pad through which the user inputs a touch operation, and a braking mechanism for controlling movement of the lever and the dial. The dial is provided on top of the lever, and the touch pad is provided on the dial. The braking mechanism controls movement of the lever and the dial, that is, movement of the position of the touch pad, while a touch operation is performed on the touch pad.
SAFETY SWITCH
Safety switch for a gardening device driven by a motor. The safety switch includes a main button arrangement and a sub button arrangement which is provided onto the main button arrangement. The main button arrangement may pivot between a first position and a second position. In the first position the sub button arrangement may be provided in an arrest position and in the second position the sub button arrangement is arranged in an energize position. Further, the sub button arrangement includes biasing means by means of which biasing means the sub button arrangement is biased towards the arrest position in the first position, and by application of an external force the sub button arrangement may be moved towards a biasing force exerted by the biasing means and be slid to the energize position where the main button arrangement may activate the power means in the second position.
Foot pedal for controlling a medical device
A foot pedal for controlling a medical device, in particular a dental device, including a housing with a housing base, a cover element which is mounted so as to be vertically displaceable with respect to the housing base along an actuating direction and so as to be inclinable with respect to the housing base, a first switch for initiating a first functionality on the medical device and a second switch for initiating a second functionality on the medical device, and an actuating device which is vertically displaceable along the actuating direction and which actuates the first switch during a movement in the actuating direction within a first height offset section and actuates the second switch within a second height offset section, the actuating device being configured in such a way, in that it is in a first state in the first height offset section and in a second state in the second height offset section, wherein the foot pedal being configured such that, at a predeterminable angle of inclination of the cover element the actuating device is always arranged within the first height offset section.
Operating Device For A Motor Vehicle, Motor Vehicle Comprising An Operating Device And Method For Operating An Operating Device
The invention relates to an operating device for a motor vehicle, comprising an operating element, which can be lowered by application of force; a snap dome arranged below the operating element for applying haptic feedback to the operating element when the snap dome is deformed by means of the operating element lowering; a blocking body made of an electroactive polymer arranged below the operating element and next to the snap dome, the shape of which blocking body can be altered depending on an electrical voltage applied thereto such that lowering of the operating element is blocked or lowering of the operating element for deforming the snap dome is enabled; a detection apparatus for detecting a contact position of a finger on the operating element; a control apparatus which is set up to adjust a voltage at the blocking body depending on the detected contact position of the finger. The invention further relates to a method for operating an operating device and to a motor vehicle comprising an operating device of this kind.
METHOD OF CONTROLLING AN APPLIANCE DOOR POSITION SWITCH FOR SABBATH MODE OPERATION
A method for selectively restricting movement of an appliance position switch from a closed position to an open position includes positioning the pin within a channel of a body portion of a switch retention device and moving the body of the switch retention device in a first direction into an opening in a face of the appliance within which the pin is moveable from the open position to the closed position. Such movement is carried out to cause movement of the pin in the first direction toward the closed position. The method further includes continuing to move the switch retention device in the first direction such that a cap thereof contacts the face, and a tab extending outwardly from the body engages with the opening to retain the switch retention device in the opening and the pin in the closed position.
Slidable magnetic switch for actuating a magnetic sensor
A slidable magnetic switch for controlling the electronic functions of an appliance on the Jewish Sabbath is disclosed herein. A housing with an integrated magnetic slider is permanently attached to the appliance surface directly adjacent to and above its embedded magnetic sensor, whereupon the magnetic force of the extended slider opens the sensor's electrical circuit and disables various auxiliary electronic functions whose operation is prohibited on the Sabbath. The slider is pushed back inside the housing after the Sabbath ends, allowing the sensor's electrical circuit to return to its regularly closed position, enabling the appliance's electronic functions for normal weekday operation. A timer alarm switch mounted within the housing provides an audible reminder to manually activate the magnetic switch each week before the Sabbath begins, or alternatively, to automatically extract the slider from the housing before the Sabbath commences, and retract the slider into the housing after the Sabbath concludes.
Method of controlling an appliance door position switch for sabbath mode operation
A position switch retention device for use with an appliance including a body defining a first end, a cap extending outwardly from a second end of the body opposite the first end, and a first tab extending from a side of the body. The first tab defines a ramp extending away from the body to an edge directed toward and spaced from the cap.
