Disclosed herein are immunogenic compositions and vaccination regimes for immunizing humans against influenza disease.

EMULSIONS WITH FREE AQUEOUS-PHASE SURFACTANT FOR ADJUVANTING SPLIT INFLUENZA VACCINES
20220323577 · 2022-10-13 ·

A split influenza virus vaccine is adjuvanted with an oil-in-water emulsion that contains free surfactant in its aqueous phase. The free surfactant can continue to exert a ‘splitting effect’ on the antigen, thereby disrupting any unsplit virions and/or virion aggregates that might be present.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS FOR DELIVERY OF RNA

The disclosure provides nanoemulsion compositions and methods of making and using thereof to deliver a bioactive agent such as a nucleic acid to a subject. The nanoemulsion composition comprises a hydrophobic core based on inorganic nanoparticles in a lipid nanoparticle that allows imaging as well as delivering nucleic acids. Methods of using these particles for treatment and vaccination are also provided.

Antigenic Peptides For Prevention And Treatment Of B-Cell Malignancy

The present invention relates to antigen-based immunotherapy, in particular cancer immunotherapy. In particular, the present invention provides antigenic peptides, which are distinct from, but have amino acid similarity to, especially share the same core sequence with epitopes of human tumor antigens. The present invention further provides immunogenic compounds, nanoparticles, cells and pharmaceutical compositions comprising such antigenic peptides and nucleic acids encoding such antigenic peptides.

RSV F protein compositions and methods for making same

The present invention relates to immunogenic compositions comprising RSV F protein, methods for preparing compositions that contain RSV F protein ecto-domain polypeptides, and to certain engineered RSV F proteins and nucleic acids that encode the engineered RSV F proteins. Compositions prepared using the methods can contain RSV F protein ecto-domain polypeptides in a predominant or single desired form and conformation. The invention also relates to methods for inducing an immune response to RSV F.

Vaccine

The disclosure relates to polypeptides and pharmaceutical compositions comprising polypeptides that find use in the prevention or treatment of cancer, in particular breast cancer, ovarian cancer and colorectal cancer. The disclosure also relates to methods of inducing a cytotoxic T cell response in a subject or treating cancer by administering pharmaceutical compositions comprising the peptides, and companion diagnostic methods of identifying subjects for treatment. The peptides comprise T cell epitopes that are immunogenic in a high percentage of patients.

System and method for microneedle delivery of microencapsulated vaccine and bioactive proteins

A method for producing at least one microneedle containing a vaccine for transdermal delivery of the vaccine to a patient includes preparing microparticles or nanoparticles of encapsulated vaccine by preparing a solution comprising a vaccine antigen and a biocompatible polymer matrix; and spray drying the solution to form the microparticles or nanoparticles. The method includes the further steps of preparing a film composition including at least one pre-polymer solution; preparing a suspension comprising the microparticles or nanoparticles and the film composition; loading the suspension into a 3D printer; printing, via the 3D printer, at least one microneedle made from the suspension; and, converting the pre-polymer solution into a cross-linked biopolymer by exposing the at least one microneedle to UV light. Also disclosed are microneedles containing a vaccine for transdermal delivery.

Stable vaccine compositions comprising inter alia live attenuated recombinant flavivirus and process for preparation thereof

Stable lyophilized immunogenic compositions include inter alia live attenuated recombinant flaviviruses, more preferably live attenuated recombinant dengue viruses, at least one carbohydrate, at least one amino acid and is particularly amenable to rapid freeze-drying treatments wherein, the composition preserves desired characteristics of a virus, including virus viability, immunogenicity and stability. The immunogenic composition is devoid of preservatives, polymers and surfactants. The methods for manufacturing the stable lyophilized immunogenic compositions are also provided.
