Magnetron
An antenna part of a magnetron includes an exhaust portion that is connected to an antenna conductor derived from an anode part and has an output terminal from which a microwave is outputted, and an output-side ceramic stem that holds internally the antenna conductor and is firmly fixed to the exhaust portion to insulate electrically a side pipe connected to the anode part of a main body of the magnetron from the exhaust portion. An antenna part further includes an antenna cap that is joined to the exhaust portion by a conductive adhesive arranged on an outer periphery of the exhaust portion. Accordingly, it is possible to provide the magnetron that can prevent occurrence of electric discharge between the antenna cap and the exhaust portion.

KLYSTRONS AND MEDICAL ELECTRON LINEAR ACCELERATORS
A klystron is provided. The klystron comprises an output cavity, an output waveguide, and a coupling port, the output waveguide is connected to a side wall of the output cavity through the coupling port, an additional cavity is provided on the side wall of the output cavity, the additional cavity is connected with the output cavity and extends from a position connected to the output cavity in a direction away from a central axis of the output cavity.

A klystron is provided. The klystron comprises an output cavity, an output waveguide, and a coupling port, the output waveguide is connected to a side wall of the output cavity through the coupling port, an additional cavity is provided on the side wall of the output cavity, the additional cavity is connected with the output cavity and extends from a position connected to the output cavity in a direction away from a central axis of the output cavity.
Travelling-wave tube
A travelling-wave tube comprising a helix joined by posts to a vacuum chamber, each post made of electrically insulating material being covered by an electrically conductive material, of electrical conductivity comprised between 1000 and 100000 S.Math.m1, over a portion of the post extending from the end of the post joined to the helix to the end of the post joined to the vacuum chamber and corresponding to a height comprised between 10% and 50% of the post.
Travelling-wave tube
A travelling-wave tube comprising a helix joined by posts to a vacuum chamber, each post made of electrically insulating material being covered by an electrically conductive material, of electrical conductivity comprised between 1000 and 100000 S.Math.m1, over a portion of the post extending from the end of the post joined to the helix to the end of the post joined to the vacuum chamber and corresponding to a height comprised between 10% and 50% of the post.
Tube amplifier assembly having a power tube and a capacitor assembly
Tube amplifier assembly including a power tube that is configured to be coupled to a grounding deck and positioned within an opening of the grounding deck. The tube amplifier assembly also includes a tube adapter that is configured to be coupled to the grounding deck. The tube adapter has a capacitive plate that extends parallel to the grounding deck and an adapter wall that is coupled to the capacitive plate. The tube adapter has an adapter opening that is aligned with the deck opening to form a tube passage. The tube adapter includes flexible conductive elements that are electrically coupled to the capacitive plate and surround the tube passage. The flexible conductive elements engage the power tube in the tube passage and electrically couple the power tube to the capacitive plate. The grounding deck and the capacitive plate form a capacitor assembly.
Tube amplifier assembly having a power tube and a capacitor assembly
Tube amplifier assembly including a power tube that is configured to be coupled to a grounding deck and positioned within an opening of the grounding deck. The tube amplifier assembly also includes a tube adapter that is configured to be coupled to the grounding deck. The tube adapter has a capacitive plate that extends parallel to the grounding deck and an adapter wall that is coupled to the capacitive plate. The tube adapter has an adapter opening that is aligned with the deck opening to form a tube passage. The tube adapter includes flexible conductive elements that are electrically coupled to the capacitive plate and surround the tube passage. The flexible conductive elements engage the power tube in the tube passage and electrically couple the power tube to the capacitive plate. The grounding deck and the capacitive plate form a capacitor assembly.
Magnetic field generation apparatus for a magnetron tube, magnetron and method for replacing an old magnetron tube of a magnetron with a new magnetron tube
A magnetic field generation apparatus is provided for a magnetron including a permanent magnet arrangement and a magnetic field conductor device. The magnetic field conductor device has a diverting element. The diverting element, which includes a plurality of rectangular diverting segments, is arranged detachably on the magnetic field generation apparatus during maintenance work in order to deflect a magnetic field generated by the permanent magnet arrangement away from further components of the magnetic field generation apparatus and components of the magnetron. A magnetron includes a magnetron tube and such a magnetic field generation apparatus. In a method for replacing an old magnetron tube of such a magnetron with a new magnetron tube, the diverting element is arranged on the magnetic field generation apparatus, and the old magnetron tube is removed from the magnetron and replaced with the new magnetron tube in order to then remove the diverting element again.
