The specification and drawings present a new apparatus such as a halogen incandescent lamp is presented herein, the apparatus comprising a light source such as a light-generating element made of tungsten, configured to generate a visible light such as white light having chromaticity coordinates of the light source in a clear center in a color space, and a component such as light-transmissive envelope, enclosing the light source and comprising a coating with a compound comprising elements of neodymium and fluorine and configured to provide a desired light spectrum by filtering the generated visible light using the compound, where the desired light spectrum having chromaticity coordinates in the color space being shifted from the clear center below the black-body locus and outside of a four-step MacAdam ellipse of the light source to meet a predefined requirement for a modified spectrum lamp.

A discharge lamp drive device includes a discharge lamp driver configured to supply drive electric current to a discharge lamp having a first electrode and a second electrode, a control unit configured to control the discharge lamp driver, and a storage unit configured to store a plurality of drive patterns of the drive electric current. The control unit is configured to select one drive pattern from among the plurality of drive patterns based on machine learning, and implement the selected drive pattern. The control unit performs a first control that increases a drive electric power supplied to the discharge lamp according to an increase in an inter-electrode voltage of the discharge lamp, in a case where the inter-electrode voltage is equal to or larger than a first voltage value and the inter-electrode voltage is equal to or lower than a second voltage value higher than the first voltage value.

A laser-sustained plasma light source includes a plasma lamp configured to contain a volume of gas and receive illumination from a pump laser in order to generate a plasma. The plasma lamp includes one or more transparent portions transparent to illumination from the pump laser and at least a portion of the broadband radiation emitted by the plasma. The one or more transparent portions are formed from a transparent material having elevated hydroxide content above 700 ppm.

A plasma lamp is disclosed. The plasma lamp includes a gas containment structure configured to contain a gas and generate a plasma within the gas containment structure. The gas containment structure is formed from a glass material transparent to illumination from a pump laser and the broadband radiation emitted by the plasma. The gas containment structure includes a glass wall and the glass within the glass wall includes an OH concentration distribution that varies across a thickness of the glass wall.

A pulse-assisted LSP broadband light source in flowing high-pressure liquid or supercritical fluid is disclosed. The light source includes a fluid containment structure for containing a high-pressure liquid or supercritical fluid. The light source includes a primary laser pump source and a high-repetition pulse-assisting laser light source. wherein the primary laser pump source is configured to direct a primary pump beam into a plasma-forming region of the fluid. The primary beam and the pulsed-assisting beam are configured to sustain a plasma within the plasma-forming region of the fluid within the fluid containment structure. A light collector element is configured to collect broadband light emitted from the plasma for use in downstream applications.
Ultraviolet lamp apparatuses having automated mobility while emitting light
Apparatuses are disclosed which include one or more lamps configured to emit germicidal light, wherein the apparatuses are configured such that germicidal light emitted from the one or more lamps is projected exterior to the apparatus. The apparatuses further include wheels arranged along a bottom of the apparatus and a motor to provide automated mobility of the apparatus across at least a part of a room or area in which the apparatus is arranged. Moreover, the apparatuses include a processor and a storage medium having program instructions which are executable by the processor for activating the motor such that the apparatus is moved within the room or area while the one or more lamps are emitting germicidal light.
HAIR REMOVAL INSTRUMENT
This application relates to a hair removal instrument, including a cooling driver, a housing, a hair removal apparatus, a cold compress part, a heat conduction part, a control board, a sealing cover, and a temperature control apparatus. The cooling driver is provided with a driving port, the cooling driver is fastened in the housing, and the housing is provided with an air outlet, a cooling channel butt-jointed to the driving port and in communication with the air outlet, and a light outlet in communication with the cooling channel. The temperature control apparatus, mounted in the housing and located on one side which is of the heat conduction part and which is away from the cooling driver, and close to the air outlet. When the temperature control apparatus detects that a temperature at the air guide hole is excessively high, the control board controls the hair removal apparatus to stop operating.

A gaseous tritium light source (GTLS), which has a hermetically sealed outer sleeve made of glass, more particularly borosilicate glass. A high durability and lighting intensity is produced due to the fact that at least some sections of the outer sleeve have an outer coating applied directly to the outer surface of the outer sleeve serving as a reflective layer made of a metal, wherein the outer coating has an epitaxial structure and wherein the metal has a reflectance of >70% for visible light.
