Embodiments of a plug for use in an electrostatic chuck are provided herein. In some embodiments, a plug for use in an electrostatic chuck includes a polymer sleeve having a central opening; and a core disposed in the central opening of the polymer sleeve, the core having a central protrusion and a peripheral ledge, wherein an outer surface of the core includes a helical channel extending from a lower surface of the core towards the peripheral ledge to at least partially define a gas flow path through the plug, and wherein the peripheral ledge is disposed between an upper surface of the polymer sleeve and the lower surface of the core.
System and Method for Managing Gifts
Disclosed are systems and methods for processing gift transactions. An example method includes receiving an identification of a first merchant from a giver at a first time, wherein a gift from the giver to a recipient is redeemable at the first merchant. The method can include generating a policy comprising the first merchant. The policy can be at least in part giver-defined and linked to the recipient payment account. The method can then include transmitting an electronic notice to a recipient device, receiving a selection from the recipient of a second merchant at which to redeem the gift from the giver, updating the policy to apply to the second merchant selected by the recipient to yield an updated policy and, upon receiving an indication of a triggering event caused by use of the recipient payment account as defined by the updated policy, applying an amount of money to the gift.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENABLING A USER TO CHOOSE HOW TO REDEEM A GIFT CREDIT
Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for processing gift transactions, related to enabling a recipient to choose a mode of redeeming the gift credit. A method can include receiving an identification, from a giver of a credit, of a recipient and a spending category associated with a notice, transmitting the notice to a device associated with the recipient, receiving a selection from the recipient regarding a payment mode to be used to redeem the credit from the giver by making a purchase according to the spending category, linking the payment mode to a policy associated with redeeming the credit, monitoring purchases using the payment mode of the recipient for a qualified purchase according to the spending category, receiving an indication that the qualified purchase was made using the payment mode and, based on the indication of the qualified purchase, applying the credit to the recipient.
TECHNOLOGIES FOR GENERATING AND DISPLAYING VIRTUAL AND INTERACTIVE EGIFTS
Technologies for unwrappable virtual egifts enabling recipients to redeem gift credits using payment accounts. In some examples, a system identifies a merchant associated with a giver, the giver being associated with a giver payment account and a recipient being associated with a recipient payment account. The system associates a policy with the gift credit and generates an image underlay identifying the gift credit and an image overlay hiding the image underlay and gift credit, the image overlay including a separable flap having a portion that appears unadhered to the image underlay, the separable flap being configured to trigger, in response to an input, an animated unwrapping effect that removes the image overlay to reveal the image underlay and gift credit. The system presents the image overlay and, in response to receiving the input, generates the animated unwrapping effect to remove the image overlay and reveal the image underlay.
COMPARATIVE HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGING
Apparatuses and methods for comparative holographic imaging to improve structural and molecular information of reconstructions is disclosed herein. An example method at least includes acquiring a plurality of holograms of a sample, wherein each hologram of the plurality of holograms is acquired at a different electron beam energy, and determining atomic and structural information of the sample based at least on a comparison of at least two of the holograms of the plurality of holograms.
SPECIMEN MOUNTS AND RELATED METHODS
A specimen mount may include a pin stub and a base member. The pin stub may be sized and configured for mounting in an inspection device. The base member may be sized and configured for mounting in a polishing machine. The base member may include a coupler sized and configured to receive the pin stub and couple the pin stub to the base member. A method of preparing a specimen may comprise positioning the specimen on a pin stub and coupling the pin stub to the base member. The base member with the pin stub and specimen may then be positioned in a polishing machine. A method of manufacturing a specimen mount may comprise forming a base member sized and configured for mounting in a polishing machine, and forming a coupler in the base member sized and configured to receive a pin stub.
FABRICATING CALCITE NANOFLUIDIC CHANNELS
A method for fabricating calcite channels in a nanofluidic device is described. A porous membrane is attached to a substrate. Calcite is deposited in porous openings in the porous membrane attached to the substrate. A width of openings in the deposited calcite is in a range from 50 to 100 nanometers (nm). The porous membrane is etched to remove the porous membrane from the substrate to form a fabricated calcite channel structure. Each channel has a width in the range from 50 to 100 nm.
Sample Chip Worktable and Retainer
A retainer is placed on a retainer holding portion formed on a sample chip worktable. With an operation of a button, a take-out support mechanism operates. That is, an upthrust pin moves upward. With this process, an orientation of a sample chip stored in the retainer is changed from a horizontal orientation to an inclined orientation. A plurality of openings through which the upthrust pin passes are formed in the retainer.
