TOOL FOR REPLACING OBSTRUCTED, UPWARD-FACING LIGHTBULBS
The present invention is a device for installing and removing partially obstructed, upward-facing lightbulbs. It is comprised of a gripping element, a weight, a flexible rotary shaft having two ends, and an extension pole having two ends. The gripping element, itself, is comprised of a hollow, three-dimensional gripping element body having an inner and outer surface and a plurality of flexible, tactile members. The hollow, three-dimensional gripping element body is open at one end and closed at the other. At the open end, the plurality of flexible, tactile members are arranged about a peripheral rim at the opening. When the device is placed over a lightbulb, the flexible, tactile members capture the lightbulb. Rotating the extension pole will cause the lightbulb to rotate.

BROKEN LIGHT BULB EXTRACTOR, LIGHT BULB CHANGER AND ANTI-LOOSENING POLE ADAPTER
A light bulb remover extracts a broken light bulb from a socket of a high-hat light fixture. The light bulb remover has an extension pole and an extractor head attached to the extension pole. An anti-loosening adapter may be provided to securely connect the extractor head to the extension pole, such that rotation of the pole while extracting the bulb will prevent the extractor head from loosening from the extension pole. Such an adapter is configured to adapt between a right-handed thread on one of the extension pole and extractor head, and a left-handed thread on the other of the extension pole and extractor head. The extractor head has a guide which defines an outer circumference of the extractor head and a bulb extractor configured for engaging in a base of the broken light bulb and creating a friction connection with the base of the light bulb.

The extractor head has a guide which defines an outer circumference of the extractor head and a bulb extractor configured for engaging in a base of the broken light bulb and creating a friction connection with the base of the light bulb. The bulb extractor is surrounded by the guide, and the guide has a diameter being less than a diameter of the high-hat light fixture and dimensioned so that when the light bulb remover is disposed within the high-hat light fixture the bulb extractor is self-aligned with a middle area of the base of the broken light bulb.

Light bulb changing device
A light bulb changing device with expandable fingers is extendable to allow a person to install and remove light bulbs from an elevated ceiling without need for climbing a ladder. The device includes a tube, with the fingers attached thereto. A horn is slidably disposed on the top, movement of the horn adjusts the movement of the fingers. A compression spring and pulley housing with pulleys therein actuate movement of a tension member allowing for opening of the fingers and closing the fingers around a light bulb with limited torque to avoid breaking the light bulb.

Light Bulb Changing Device
A light bulb changing device with expandable fingers which can grasp all light bulbs within a size range between 1 inch and 6 inches diameter and all shapes of light bulbs including incandescent, compact fluorescent and LED having a screw thread base. The disclosed device is extendable to allow a person to install and remove light bulbs from an elevated ceiling without need for climbing a ladder. The device provides for a user to controllably expand the fingers to insert or remove a bulb at both the proximal (bottom)and distal (Ceiling) ends of the device so that a user can reach up to the ceiling, open the fingers to grasp the bulb using the proximal actuation, remove it, bring it down to reachable level, remove the used bulb using the distal actuation, insert a new bulb using the distal actuation, elevate the bulb to the ceiling screw it into the socket and using the proximal actuation open the fingers to complete the job. The disclosed device controls the torque with which the fingers grasp the bulb to prevent separation of the glass bulb from the metal base.
