Provided are a secondary battery and a battery pack including the secondary battery. A sealing plate has a positive electrode terminal attachment hole. A positive electrode terminal penetrates the positive electrode terminal attachment hole. An external conductive member is connected to a portion of the positive electrode terminal located on the battery outer side with respect to the sealing plate. The conduction path between a positive electrode plate and the positive electrode terminal is provided with a current interrupting mechanism. A first insulating member made of resin is disposed between the sealing plate and the positive electrode terminal. A second insulating member having higher thermal resistance than the first insulating member is disposed between the external conductive member and the sealing plate.

A secondary battery includes: an electrode assembly; a case accommodating the electrode assembly, the case having a bottom surface and long and short sidewalls that extend upwardly from the bottom surface; a cap plate coupled to an upper portion of the case and sealing the case; and an insulation member attached to an outer surface of the case. The insulation member includes a first layer in contact with the outer surface of the case and made of a heat-resistant material, a third layer exposed to the outside and made of a stretchable material, and a second layer between the first and third layers and made of an insulating material.

A wearable battery-pack accessory may include (1) one or more curved batteries, (2) charging circuitry that charges the one or more curved batteries, (3) supplying circuitry that supplies power to a connected external computing device, and (4) an outer housing including a curved surface shaped to conform to a portion of a wearer's body. Hermetic feedthrough assembly and associated methods
An implantable medical device, battery and method include memory configured to store program instructions. At least one of circuitry or a processor are configured to execute the program instructions in connection with at least one of monitoring a biological signal or administering a therapy. The device includes a battery comprising a cell stack that includes an anode, a cathode, and one or more separator layers electrically insulating the anode from the cathode. The device includes a case having a feedthrough port and a feedthrough assembly disposed in the feedthrough port. The feedthrough assembly includes a ferrule having a lumen. An inner conductor is disposed within the lumen of the ferrule. The inner conductor is formed from a material having a first composition and a first coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE). An insulating core is disposed within the lumen of the ferrule and separates the inner conductor from the ferrule. The insulating core is formed from a material having a second composition and a second CTE. The first CTE of the inner conductor is equal to or greater than the second CTE of the insulating core and the first and second compositions are molecularly bonded with one another to form a hermetic seal between the inner conductor and the insulating core.
