Provided is a rechargeable battery including an electrode assembly comprising an electrode assembly body and an electrode tab protruding from the electrode assembly body, and a connecting member comprising a guiding plate and a first connecting plate connected to the guiding plate. The guiding plate extends in a width direction and the first connecting plate extends away from a plate surface of the guiding plate along the width direction or extends toward the plate surface of the guiding plate along the width direction. The electrode tab has a stacked multi-layer structure, the electrode tab protrudes from a portion of an end surface of the electrode assembly body in a longitudinal direction at a side of a split of the electrode assembly body perpendicular to the width direction, and the electrode tab is bent with respect to a longitudinal direction and is connected to the first connecting plate.

This application provides a connecting assembly, a battery module, a battery pack, a device, and a manufacturing method. The connecting assembly includes an insulation board and a busbar. The insulation board includes a hollow portion, a first side, and a second side. The busbar includes a first busbar and a second busbar. The first busbar is disposed on the first side of the insulation board. The second busbar is disposed from the second side into the hollow portion of the insulation board. The battery module includes a battery cell and a module frame. The battery cell is accommodated in the module frame. A device using a battery cell as a power supply includes: a power source configured to provide a driving force for the device; and a battery module configured to provide electrical energy to the power source.
Battery pack
A battery pack includes: a first secondary battery cell and a second secondary battery cell each having a cylindrical shape and connected in series and/or in parallel with each other; a housing case; and a longitudinal partition plate having a thermal insulation property, and disposed at an interface between the first secondary battery cell and the second secondary battery cell housed in the internal space of the housing case. The longitudinal partition plate constitutes a first thermal insulator that projects from a side facing the side surface of the cylindrical shape of the first secondary battery cell, and constitutes a second thermal insulator that projects from a side facing the side surface of the cylindrical shape of the second secondary battery cell.
Battery Module and Battery Pack Including the Same
A battery module according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a housing receiving a plurality of battery cells and including a bottom plate and a lateral plate; and a connection board disposed at one end or both ends of the housing, wherein the connection board is bonded to the lateral plate. The lateral plate may include a plurality of bus bar supporting members, at least some among the plurality of bus bar supporting members having a hooking protrusion protruded upward. The connection board may include a hooking member having a hooking groove opened downward. Thus, the hooking protrusion may be inserted into the hooking groove in a state in which the connection board is bonded to the lateral plate.

A battery module according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes: at least one battery cell; a bus bar assembly connected to an electrode lead of the at least one battery cell and positioned on both side surfaces of the at least one battery cell; and a heatsink assembly positioned in direct contact with both of the at least one battery cell and the bus bar assembly while surrounding both of the at least one battery cell and the bus bar assembly.

The secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly, a case and the battery cap assembly. The case receives the electrode assembly and has an opening. The cap plate is connected with the case, the first connecting portion of the first connecting piece is electrically connected with the first electrode plate.

The present disclosure provides a battery cap assembly and a secondary battery. The battery cap assembly comprises a cap plate, a first electrode terminal and a first connecting piece. The cap plate is made of insulating material and includes a first terminal hole; the first electrode terminal is provided to the cap plate and extends into the first terminal hole; the first connecting piece is provided below the cap plate. The first connecting piece includes a first connecting portion connected with the first electrode terminal, an upper surface of the first connecting portion is attached to the cap plate. The secondary battery comprises an electrode assembly, a case and the battery cap assembly. The case receives the electrode assembly and has an opening. The cap plate is connected with the case, the first connecting portion of the first connecting piece is electrically connected with the first electrode plate.

A busbar for a battery system according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes: a first bar member and a second bar member which are spaced apart from each other; and a third bar member which connects the first bar member and the second bar member to define a common bar, in which the third bar member is shunt resistance having ohmic resistance and electrically connects the first bar member and the second bar member. In addition, a battery system according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes the busbar.

A flexible multi-layer packaging material is provided. The packaging material includes a first film layer, a second film in layer, and at least one electrochemical cell located within the first and second film layers. The electrochemical cell comprises an anode, a cathode, an anode current collector, a cathode current collector, and an electrolyte by which the anode and the cathode are ionically connected. At least one of the first and second film layers is a multi-layer laminate comprising an outer insulating layer, an inner insulating layer, and a conductive moisture barrier layer between the inner and outer insulating layers and in electrical contact with the electrolyte, wherein the conductive moisture barrier layer comprises an anode material such that the conductive moisture barrier layer defines both the anode and the anode current collector of the at least one electrochemical cell or wherein the conductive moisture barrier layer comprises a cathode material such that the conductive moisture barrier layer defines both the cathode and the cathode current collector of the at least one electrochemical cell. A battery pouch cell and a pack of consumer goods comprising a container formed from such a packaging material are also provided.
