Rotary Joint with Dielectric Waveguide
A contactless datalink for transmission of data between a rotatable part and a stationary part, including a dielectric waveguide split into two sections. A first dielectric waveguide section is at the rotatable part and a second dielectric waveguide section is at the stationary part. The first dielectric waveguide section is coupled to a transmitter and the second dielectric waveguide section is coupled to a receiver.
A TRANSITION ARRANGEMENT COMPRISING A WAVEGUIDE TWIST, A WAVEGUIDE STRUCTURE COMPRISING A NUMBER OF WAVEGUIDE TWISTS AND A ROTARY JOINT
A transition arrangement for interconnection of waveguide structures or waveguide flanges for forming a waveguide twist, wherein a waveguide twist section arrangement including a number of waveguide twist sections is arranged between the waveguide structures or waveguide flanges for rotating the polarization of waves or signals twisted or forming an angle with an adjacent waveguide flange and/or another adjacent waveguide twist section with respective waveguide openings. The or each twist section on at least one side includes a surface of a conductive material with a periodic or quasi-periodic structure formed by a number of protruding elements allowing waves to pass across a gap between a surface around a waveguide opening to another waveguide opening in a desired direction or waveguide paths, at least in an intended frequency band of operation, and to stop propagation of waves in the gap in other directions.
Tubular in-line filters that are suitable for cellular applications and related methods
In-line filters may include a tubular metallic housing defining a single inner cavity that extends along a longitudinal axis and a plurality of resonators that are spaced apart along the longitudinal axis within the single inner cavity, each resonator having a stalk. The stalks of first and second of the resonators that are adjacent each other are rotated to have different angular orientations.
Compact concentric split ring waveguide rotary joint
A waveguide rotary joint includes a first waveguide member comprising a first waveguide portion, and a second waveguide member comprising a second waveguide portion, the second waveguide member rotatably connected via a curved circumferential path to the first waveguide member, wherein the second waveguide portion is adjacent to the first waveguide portion to define a first split rectangular waveguide. A first waveguide input/output port is communicatively coupled to the first waveguide portion, and a second waveguide input/output port is communicatively coupled to the second waveguide portion. Relative rotation between the first waveguide member and the second waveguide member changes an angular length of the first waveguide connecting the first waveguide input/output port to the second waveguide input/output port.
ELECTRONIC IMPEDANCE TUNING APPARATUS FOR MEASURING LOAD-PULL OF MOBILE AMPLIFIER AND ELECTRONIC IMPEDANCE TUNING METHOD THEREFOR
Disclosed are an electronic impedance tuning apparatus for measuring a load-pull of a mobile amplifier and an electronic impedance tuning method therefor. An electronic impedance tuning apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a coupler for transferring, to transmission lines respectively connected to a through port and a coupled port, an input voltage inputted to an input port; a magnitude part for controlling a change in the magnitude of the impedance through a change in length difference of the transmission lines; and a phase part for controlling a change in the phase of the impedance through an equal length change of the transmission lines.
Phase shifter having arc-shaped phase delay lines on opposite sides of a PCB which are adjusted by slidable parts, an antenna, and radio communications device formed therefrom
The present disclosure relates to a phase shifter, an antenna, and a radio communications device. One example phase shifter includes a cavity, a rotating shaft, a main printed circuit board (PCB), a first slidable part, and a second slidable part. The first slidable part is located on a front side of the main PCB and coupled to the main PCB. The second slidable part is located on a rear side of the main PCB and coupled to the main PCB. The rotating shaft is inserted into the cavity and connected to the first slidable part and the second slidable part. The first arc-shaped phase delay line and the second arc-shaped phase delay line are distributed on a circle with a center that is the same as a center of the rotating shaft, and are located on an outer side of a primary central coupling section.
RF rotary joint using a matched horn coupler assembly
A matched horn coupler assembly is used in a RF rotational joint for conveying an electromagnetic signal. The coupler assembly includes first and second feed horns defining respective first and second horn longitudinal axes intersecting one another at an intersection point. The first and second feed horns connect to a mirror for conveying the signal there between with the intersection point lying on a reflecting surface of the mirror which defines a normal direction thereof at the intersection point. The normal direction is equally angularly spaced from both the first and second horn longitudinal axes. First and second lenses connect to the respective first and second feed horns and focus the signal there between and at the intersection point. At least one of the first and second feed horns is rotatably connected relative to the mirror about the respective horn longitudinal axis.
