MAGNETOINDUCTIVE WAVE CONTROL
A method of configuring a metamaterial structure comprising a plurality of electrical resonators (110) that support magnetoinductive waves is disclosed. The method comprises: powering at least one of the electrical resonators (110) with an alternating current at an excitation frequency, the at least one powered electrical resonator providing a source of magnetoinductive waves in the structure; adjusting parameters of the metamaterial structure to create constructive interference of one- two- or three-dimensional magnetoinductive waves at one or more target resonators of the electrical resonators (110), to improve power transfer from the at least one powered electrical resonator to the one or more target resonators (110).
SIGNAL TRANSMISSION APPARATUS INCLUDING SEMICONDUCTOR CHIPS AND SIGNAL ISOLATOR
A signal transmission apparatus includes: a first lead frame; a second lead frame spaced from the first lead frame; a primary semiconductor chip electrically connected to the first lead frame; a secondary semiconductor chip electrically connected to the second lead frame; and a signal isolator through which a signal is isolatedly transmitted from the primary semiconductor chip to the secondary semiconductor chip, the signal isolator having a first main surface that is bonded to both the first lead frame and the second lead frame.
Resonance frequency adjustment for fixed-frequency qubits
A method of an embodiment includes forming a capacitor pad for a nonlinear resonator. In an embodiment, the method includes comparing a resonance frequency of the nonlinear resonator to a target frequency to determine whether the resonance frequency falls within a range of the target frequency. A device of an embodiment includes a first capacitor pad comprising a superconducting material, the first capacitor pad configured to couple to a first end of a logic circuit element. In an embodiment, the device includes a second capacitor pad comprising a second superconducting material, the capacitor pad configured to couple to a second end of the logic circuit element. In an embodiment, the second capacitor pad includes a first portion; a second portion; and a bridge configured to electrically connect the first portion and the second portion.
FILTERING DEVICE AND FILTERING ASSEMBLY HAVING AN ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTING STRIP STRUCTURE
A filter device includes a transmission line formed by an electrically conducting strip printed on a surface of an electrically insulating substrate, the conducting strip having two ends respectively forming the two sole input and output connection ports of the filter device, and a plurality of resonators, each resonator including an electrically conducting strip printed on the surface of the substrate. The conducting strip of each resonator has a first end coupled to the transmission line and at least one second end that is free or connected to a ground so as to create an effective fundamental resonant wavelength specific to each resonator. For each pair of neighbouring resonators of the plurality of resonators, the distance between the first ends of the two neighbouring resonators is less than one tenth of the smallest effective fundamental resonant wavelength of the plurality of resonators.
ELECTRICAL FILTER STRUCTURE
An electrical filter structure for forwarding an electrical signal from a first port, e.g. P1, to a second port, e.g. P2, in a frequency selective manner, wherein the filter is a microwave filter, the electrical filter structure comprising: a plurality of pairs of an open stub and a short-circuited stub coupled electrically in parallel to a transmission line comprising a plurality of transmission line portions at a plurality of respective junctions between adjacent transmission line portions, e.g. Cross junction; and wherein the first port is connected with a first of the junctions having a first pair comprising a first open stub and a first short-circuited stub; wherein the second port is connected with a last of the junctions having a last pair comprising a last open stub and a last short-circuited stub; wherein lengths of the pair of the open stub and the short-circuited stub coupled to a same of the junctions are chosen such that electrical lengths of the open stub and short-circuited stub of the respective pairs are equal within a tolerance of +/−10%.
Circuit assembly, a system and a method for cooling quantum electric devices
A circuit assembly for cooling a quantum electrical device, use of said circuit assembly, a system and a method for cooling a quantum electric device are provided. The circuit assembly comprises a quantum electric device to be cooled, at least one normal-metal-insulator-superconductor (NIS) tunnel junction electrically connected to the quantum electric device and at least one superconductive lead for supplying a drive voltage V.sub.QCR for said at least one NIS tunnel junction. The quantum electric device is cooled when the voltage V.sub.QCR is supplied to at least one NIS tunnel junction, said voltage V.sub.QCR being equal to or below the voltage NΔ/e, where N=1 or N=2, N is the number of NIS tunnel junctions electrically coupled in series with the means for generating the voltage, Δ is the energy gap in the superconductor density of states, and e is the elementary charge.
Dual-band resonator and dual-band bandpass filter using same
Provided is a dual-band resonator which can be downsized further than conventional ones. A dual-band resonator is provided with a first conductor and a second conductor. The first conductor is configured to be folded at a first folding part at the center so that both extensions are in a prescribed direction and adjacent to one another with a prescribed space therebetween, wherein a conductor part closer to one end side than the first folding part and a conductor part closer to the other end side than the first folding part are further folded at second folding parts between the one end and the first folding part and between the other end and the first folding part, respectively, in a direction in which the one end and the other end are apart from each other. The second conductor extends in a prescribed direction contiguously to the first folding part of the first conductor. The first conductor constitutes a half-wavelength resonator, and odd-mode resonance occurs in the first conductor. The first conductor and the second conductor constitute a half-wavelength resonator, and even-mode resonance occurs in the first conductor and the second conductor.
Multi-resonator filters
A multi-resonator filter has a signal input terminal, a signal output terminal, and a plurality of resonator components. The plurality of resonator components include an input resonator component coupled to the signal input terminal, an output resonator component coupled to the signal output terminal, and at least one intermediate resonator component coupled between the input resonator component and the output resonator component. The input resonator component, output resonator component and the at least one intermediate resonator component are arranged in a sequence to define a signal path between the signal input terminal and the signal output terminal. The at least one intermediate resonator component includes at least one multiple resonator component, where each multiple resonator component includes a pair of individual resonators coupled in parallel where each individual resonator in a given pair of individual resonators has the same resonant frequency.

A quantum system includes a qubit array comprising a plurality of qubits. A bus resonator is coupled between at least one pair of qubits in the qubit array. A switch is coupled between the at least one qubit pair of qubits.

A vector signal generator is capable of operating on microwave frequencies. It comprises a microwave resonator, an output for coupling microwave photons out of said microwave resonator, and a Josephson junction or junction array coupled to the microwave resonator for emitting microwave signals into the microwave resonator. A biasing circuit is provided for applying a bias to the Josephson junction or junction array. A tunable attenuator is coupled to said microwave resonator.
