20210123595 · 2021-04-29 ·

Methods and systems are provided for designing, implementing, and/or using communication cables comprising a leaky feeder structure, which may be configurable for homogeneous distribution of data signals. An example communication cable may comprise a core conductor, an insulation shield surrounding the core conductor, an outer conductor around the insulation shield and having one or more apertures arranged along its length, and a jacket at least partly covering the outer conductor. The communication cable may also comprise an illumination arrangement which may be arranged at least along sections of the length of the cable. The illumination arrangement may comprise a plurality of light emitting units.

Luminaires having a wireless antenna

A luminaire includes a housing defining an interior volume. The luminaire also includes a lamp within the interior volume and configured to emit light. Additionally, the luminaire includes a wireless antenna positioned within the interior volume, configured to transmit or receive a wireless signal along a first direction, and configured to be operatively coupled to an access point. The wireless antenna can be entirely within the interior volume. The luminaire can include a first reflective surface within the interior volume and configured to redirect the wireless signal. The lamp can be configured to be electrically coupled to a power inserter that powers the access point.

RADOME CASING AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE RADOME CASING
20210143538 · 2021-05-13 ·

Invention relates to a radome casing and method for its manufacturing. The radome casing comprises walls (6, 11) of composite material which includes reinforcement fibers (8) and matrix resin (19) binding the fibers together. The walls include a radiation transmission window (11) through which the radiation of a radome antenna passes when the radome antenna (2) is mounted inside the radome casing (1). The amount of fibers in the radiation transmission window (11) is reduced to be less than 40-5% of the amount of fibers elsewhere in the casing walls (6). The reduction of reinforcement fibers in the radiation transmission window (11) reduces attenuation of the high frequency radiation.

Radome for vehicles

The radome (10) for vehicles comprises a substrate (18) formed of a radio transmissive resin, the substrate (18) having a proximal face and a distal face and a decoration layer (20) applied to the proximal face, the decoration layer (20) comprising a metalloid or a metalloid alloy deposited on the surface of the proximal face, a transparent frontal cover (22) overlying the decoration layer (20), and a light source (11) that illuminates the substrate (18), so that the light from the light source (11) crosses the transparent frontal cover (22). It permits to maintain its metallic aspect in any lighting condition, so that the decorative function is be improved by adding illumination in appropriate conditions while preserving the radar functionality.

Tamper detection device

An integrated circuit chip (2), an antenna (3) and a tamper loop (4), and in addition to this, a light emitting diode (LED) (20), configured to be activated, i.e. supplied with current, upon a signal received by the antenna (3). The LED (20) is integrated in the device in such a way that when the LED is activated in the above-described way, the LED lights up so as to become visible by the naked eye, on the condition that the tamper loop (4) is in a predefined state, either open or closed. The LED (20) is coupled between the same terminals (8,9) of the integrated circuit chip (2) as the tamper loop (4).

Communication device and antenna with dynamic antenna tuning

A communication device and a detachable antenna with dynamic antenna tuning is provided. The detachable antenna comprises: an electrically insulating base; a main antenna and a first antenna element, at the base, respectively operable at independent first and second given frequencies. The device further comprises: a memory associating the first and second given frequencies; an antenna port configured to detachably receive the base of the detachable antenna; a second antenna element, at the antenna port, operable to wirelessly interact with the first antenna element when the base of the detachable antenna is received at the antenna port; a circuit configured to detect wireless interactions between the second antenna element and the first antenna element; and a controller configured to: select the first given frequency using the second given frequency, as detected via the circuit; and, thereafter wirelessly communicate via the main antenna operated at the first given frequency.
