RFID tags designed to work on difficult substrates

An RFID tag device is disclosed that is designed to operate on difficult substrates, such as dielectric surfaces with high loss, organic material surfaces, or metallic surfaces. The RFID tag device comprises an RFID antenna structure formed on one side of a thermoplastic substrate component with an RFID chip coupled to it in a roll to roll process. The substrate component is then deformed into a series of cavities with the RFID antenna structure within the cavities. Specifically, the RFID antenna structure is positioned fully on a top surface of the cavity, or positioned partially in a top and partially on an edge/bottom of the cavity.

An apparatus for determining a passing time of a passive RFID sports timing transponder includes a housing for protecting the apparatus; an RFID reader unit connected to an RFID antenna for remotely determining an identity and a passing time of the transponder; a location unit for determining a location of the apparatus; a mobile communication unit connected to a mobile communication antenna for transmitting the identity and the passing time of the transponder and the location of the apparatus to a processing unit; and a communication unit for communicating with another similar apparatus in an immediate spatial vicinity to synchronize operation of the RFID reader unit and an RFID reader unit of the similar apparatus to avoid interference. The RFID reader unit, the RFID antenna, the location unit, the mobile communication unit and the neighbor communication unit are integrated in a common printed circuit board that is mounted within the housing.

Antenna structure and electronic device

An antenna structure includes a first radiator, a second radiator, an antenna ground, and a conductor. The first radiator for resonating at a high frequency band includes a feeding end. The second radiator is connected to the first radiator and resonates at a low frequency band with a part of the first radiator. The antenna ground is located on one side of the first radiator and the second radiator. The conductor is located between the second radiator and the antenna ground in a first direction and connected to the first radiator and the antenna ground. A slit having at least one bending portion is formed among the second radiator, and the conductor and the antenna ground. An electronic device is further provided.

Disclosed are a microstrip antenna and a television. The microstrip antenna comprises a substrate, an excitation layer and a grounding layer which are provided on the substrate, and a feed unit and a coupling structure which are provided in the excitation layer. The feed unit is electrically connected to the excitation layer. A coupling layer and the excitation layer are electrically connected to the grounding layer. The coupling structure comprises the coupling layer and a dielectric layer. The dielectric layer is located between the excitation layer and the coupling layer. The coupling layer and the excitation layer are electrically connected to the grounding layer.

Substrate-type antenna for global navigation satellite system

Provided is an antenna for receiving radio waves including frequencies in the L6 band unique to QZSS to realize accurate positioning by QZSS. A substrate-type antenna 1 comprises an arcuate antenna element 20 including a long arcuate antenna element 22 and a short arcuate antenna element 24, each of which includes an integral antenna element compatible with three frequency bands and a single antenna element compatible with one frequency band and arranged with a space from the integral antenna element. Each of the integral antenna element and the single antenna element extends from an outer peripheral part of the arcuate antenna element toward an inner peripheral part thereof. The substrate-type antenna 1 further comprises a plurality of connection units 34 connected to the long arcuate antenna element 22 and the short arcuate antenna element 24, respectively, and a coupler 30 to which the plurality of connection units 34 is coupled.

Multi-input multi-output antenna structure

Provided is an electronic device including a multi-input multi-output antenna structure configured on a substrate, and the multi-input multi-output antenna structure includes two dipole antennas and two second grounded radiators. Each dipole antenna is used for resonating a first frequency band and a second frequency band. Each dipole antenna includes a feed-in radiator and a first grounded radiator. The feed-in radiator has a feed-in end. The first grounded radiator is disposed beside the feed-in radiator and has a first grounded end. The two second grounded radiators are positioned between the two dipole antennas, the two second grounded radiators are separated from the two first grounded radiators and are respectively corresponding to the two first grounded radiators, and a bent gap is formed between the two second grounded radiators.
