Antenna structure and wireless communication device using same
An antenna structure with wide radiation bandwidth in a reduced physical space includes a housing, a connection capacitor, and a feed portion. The housing defines at least one gap and a slot dividing the housing into a first radiation portion, a second radiation portion, and a third radiation. The connection capacitor bridges the first gap, connecting the first radiation portion and the second radiation portion. The feed portion is electrically connected to the first radiation portion. The current flows through the first radiation portion and towards the second radiation portion through the connection capacitor. The current is further coupled to the third radiation portion to generate radiation signals in different frequency bands.
Systems, Apparatuses and Methods for Biometric Sensing Using Conformal Flexible Antenna
This invention provides conformal antenna structures, how to make and use the antenna structures, and systems in which the antenna structures may be used for biometric sensing of humans and other animals. The antenna structures of the invention includes at least one relatively flexible section connecting relatively rigid sections. The relatively flexible section connecting relatively rigid sections may flex so that the relatively rigid sections connected to the relatively flexible section can change orientation relative to one another. This allows the relatively rigid sections to be conformed to a region of a surface of a human or animal that is not flat (that is curved).
ANTENNA MODULE
An antenna module connected to a system ground of an electronic device includes a substrate, a coaxial-transmission line, a first radiator and a second radiator. The coaxial-transmission line includes a power feed-in terminal and a ground terminal. The first radiator is electrically connected to the power feed-in terminal. The second radiator is electrically connected to the ground terminal. One side of the second radiator is connected to the system ground, and the second radiator includes a first terminal and a second terminal. An opening is formed between the first terminal and the second terminal, so that the second radiator be partially surrounding to the first radiator. The first radiator and the second radiator are coplanarly disposed on the substrate.
COVER OF DEVICE ACTING AS ANTENNA OF THE DEVICE
A cover of a device acting as an antenna of the device is disclosed. The device comprises a first body and a second body, wherein the first body comprises: a first conductive portion of a first cover of the device configured as an antenna of the device; a second conductive portion of the first cover configured as a ground of the antenna; and a dielectric slot of the first cover; wherein the second body comprises: a first conductive portion of a second cover of the device; a second conductive portion of the second cover; and a dielectric slot in the second cover; wherein a shape of the first and the second conductive portion of the first body and the dielectric slot of the first body aligns with a shape of the first and the second conductive portion of the second body and the dielectric slot of the second body.
TRAVELING WAVE ANTENNA FOR ELECTROMAGNETIC HEATING
A radio frequency antenna for radiating electromagnetic energy into a reservoir filled with a target material, the antenna being operatively connected to a feed transmission line. The antenna includes a waveguide, at least one slot formed in the outer waveguide layer, and a sleeve portion enclosing at least a portion of the waveguide. The sleeve portion comprises at least first and second dielectric layers where the permittivity of the second dielectric layer is higher than the permittivity of the first dielectric layer and the first dielectric layer is positioned in closer proximity to the waveguide than the second dielectric layer. When the antenna is inserted into the reservoir, the input impedance of the antenna remains matched to the feed transmission line for a wide range of target materials.
REFLECTOR STRUCTURE AND ANTENNA DEVICE
A reflector structure is configured to connect an antenna. The antenna has an excitation source. The reflector structure includes a metal substrate, at least one first flat plate and a second flat plate. The metal substrate is configured to reflect the radiation of the antenna. The at least one first flat plate is disposed on the metal substrate. The second flat plate is floated to the metal substrate along a virtual normal and completely separated from the at least one first plate to form a closed slot. A cavity is formed by the metal substrate, the at least one first flat plate and the second flat plate and communicated with the closed slot. The excitation source is projected onto a plane to form an excitation source region. The excitation source region is located in the second flat plate.
