A vehicular antenna device comprises: a directional antenna having a plurality of unit antenna elements arranged in a predetermined direction and thereby having upward directionality; and a radio wave diffusion structure installed vertically above the directional antenna so as to reflect radiated radio waves, which are radiated upward from the directional antenna, in the lateral direction such that the same are diffused omnidirectionally. The vehicular antenna device is applicable to 5G mobile communication, the same has omnidirectionality that a vehicular antenna is required to have, and the antenna structure can be made compact and simple.

Apparatus and device for use in automotive testing

An apparatus and device for repetitive use in automotive testing is provided. The apparatus includes a frame dimensioned in the same shape as a bicycle frame. The frame includes a first support beam and a plurality of second support beams. The apparatus further includes an elastic member elastically coupling each of the plurality of second support beams to the first support beam so as to allow the frame to separate when impacted and be easily reassembled for further testing. The device includes a disk having a first radar transparent layer opposite a second radar transparent layer and a reflective film disposed between the first radar transparent layer and the second radar transparent layer. The reflective film has a radar cross section pattern similar to that of an actual bicycle wheel when seen by automotive radar.

RELAY-AIDED INTELLIGENT RECONFIGURABLE SURFACES

Relay-aided intelligent reconfigurable surfaces (IRSs) are provided. A novel relay-aided intelligent surface architecture is described herein that has the potential of achieving the promising gains of IRSs with a much smaller number of elements, opening the door for realizing these surfaces in practice. A half-duplex or full-duplex relay is connected to one or more IRSs. This merges the gains of relays and reconfigurable surfaces and splits the required signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) gain between them. This architecture can hen significantly reduce the required number of reconfigurable elements in the IRS(s) while achieving the same spectral efficiencies. Consequently, the proposed relay-aided intelligent surface architecture needs far less channel estimation/beam training overhead and provides enhanced robustness compared to traditional IRS solutions.

This application discloses a type of reflecting plate and base station array for base station antennas. The main part of the reflecting plate is mono- or multi-layer reflector chamber, the inside of each layer placed with at least one phase shift cavity, guide groove and projection, the phase shift cavity for holding components of the phase shifter, while guide groove and projection for fixing them, allowing removable dielectric insulation medium of the phase shifter to move within the guide groove. The reflecting plate and the phase shift cavity are designed in integrative structure, achieving good consistency, less soldering and easy installation, costing less time and fewer raw materials, and high efficiency and low cost as well.

REFLECTION MICROWAVE BARRIER

A reflection microwave barrier for monitoring a limit level in at least one working area by outputting a switching signal. The reflection microwave barrier including a microwave transmitter for continuously emitting a time modulated microwave signal, a microwave receiver arranged on the same side of the at least one working area as the microwave transmitter to receive a reflection of the microwave signal, and a control circuitry communicating with the microwave receiver for a detection and monitoring of echo signals in the received reflection of the microwave signal. The control circuitry calculates the runtime of an echo signal), when the amplitude of the echo signal rises or increases. Furthermore, the control circuitry determines by the calculated runtime, whether an origin of the echo signal lies within the at least one working area, and only outputs the switching signal in this case.
