Bioresponsive particles
Shielding enzymes are made by modifying the enzyme surface with silica precursors and then depositing silica to a desired thickness while retaining biological activity of the enzyme.
LIPID ENCAPSULATED GAS MICROSPHERE COMPOSITIONS AND RELATED METHODS
The invention provides improved compositions relating to lipid-encapsulated gas microspheres and methods of their use.
GAS VESICLE EXPRESSION SYSTEMS, GAS VESICLE CONSTRUCTS AND RELATED GENETIC CIRCUITS, VECTORS, MAMMALIAN CELLS, HOSTS, COMPOSITIONS, METHODS AND SYSTEMS
Provided herein are genetically engineered gas vesicle expression systems (GVES) that are configured to express gas vesicles (GVs) in a mammalian cell, related gas vesicle polynucleotide constructs, gas vesicle reporting genetic circuits, vectors, genetically engineered mammalian cells, non-human mammalian hosts, compositions, methods and systems, which in several embodiments can be used together with contrast-enhanced imaging techniques to detect and report biological events in an imaging target site comprising a mammalian cell and/or organism.
ELASTIC BUBBLE COMPLEX AND METHOD OF PREPARING THE SAME
Proposed is to provide a size-varying bubble complex and a method of preparing the same. More specifically, the size-varying bubble complex and the method of preparing the same are proposed, wherein the bubble complex is capable of being repeatedly varied in size by changing phases of perfluorocarbon by external stimuli, by including a shell that encapsulates a core made of the perfluorocarbon and protects the core by expanding and contracting together when the core expands and contracts.
GAS-FILLED MICROVESICLES FOR USE AS VACCINE
Gas-filled microvesicles comprising an antigen bound thereto and to aqueous suspensions containing said microvesicles, for use in immunomodulating formulations, in particular as a vaccine. The antigen is covalently bound to a component of the microvesicles envelope. The microvesicles of the invention, comprising a molar excess of fatty acids in the stabilizing envelope, are particularly effective in the uptake by antigen-presenting cells, in particular dendritic cells.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR BLOOD-BRAIN BARRIER OPENING AND CAVITATION IMAGING USING A DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING ARRAY
The present subject matter relates to techniques for simultaneous blood-brain barrier opening and cavitation imaging. The disclosed system can include a transducer and a processor. The transducer can be configured to generate a plurality of focused transmits and simultaneously obtain a plurality of power cavitation images. The processor can be configured to control a parameter of the focused transmits, acquire the power cavitation images between each focused transmit, and generate a cavitation map based on the power cavitation images.
Coated microbubbles
The present invention relates to methods and apparatus to provide coated microbubbles, particularly but not exclusively microbubbles at least partially coated with a component, for example a clinically active component. Systems of the present invention use electromagnetic fields to move microbubbles between streams of liquids in order to perform coating or washing steps.
FREEZE-DRIED PRODUCT AND GAS-FILLED MICROVESICLES SUSPENSION
A method of manufacturing a suspension of gas-filled microvesicles by reconstituting a freeze-dried product and a suspension obtained according to said method, where the freeze-dried product has been subjected to a thermal treatment
Phospholipid composition and microbubbles and emulsions formed using same
A composition for stabilizing a fluorocarbon emulsion. That composition includes phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine-PEG, and a cone-shaped lipid.
Methods for making ultrasound contrast agents
Provided herein are improved methods for preparing phospholipid formulations including phospholipid UCA formulations.
