ANTENNA COVER AND METHODS OF RETENTION
A radome-reflector assembly includes a generally domed reflector having a peripheral rim and a radome assembly. The radome assembly includes: an annular ring having a front wall and a side wall; a disk that fits within the ring; and an RF-compliant absorber, wherein the rim of the reflector fits within the side wall. The radome assembly further comprises a clip that engages the rim and the ring to secure the reflector to the radome assembly.
Mitigation of polarization mismatch between reflector and feed antennas by feed predistortion
An apparatus and method for mitigating polarization mismatch in reflector antenna systems. A feed unit is configured to determine a polarization mismatch between a first polarization associated with a first wave and a second polarization associated with a reflector unit. The feed unit pre-distorts the first wave to achieve a compensated polarization for reducing and/or eliminating a polarization mismatch. The pre-distorted first wave having the compensated polarization is used to illuminate the reflector unit. A re-radiated wave is reflected by the reflector unit. Furthermore, the level of the re-radiated wave is increased as a result of the pre-distortion.
ANTENNA DEVICE AND ANTENNA UNIT
An antenna device includes: a ground electrode plate; one or more first radiating electrode plates which face the ground electrode plate; a second radiating electrode plate which lies between the ground electrode plate and the one or more first radiating electrode plates; one or more first feeder lines which are connected to the one or more first radiating electrode plates; a second feeder line which is not connected to the one or more first feeder lines but is connected to the second radiating electrode plate; and a ground line which does not connect the one or more first radiating electrode plates to the ground electrode plate but connects the second radiating electrode plate to the ground electrode plate. The one or more first radiating electrode plates lie inside the second radiating electrode plate as viewed from a thickness direction of the ground electrode plate.
