ELECTRICAL CONTACT ELEMENT
An electrical contact element formed of sheet metal having a first region and a second region. Each one of the first and second regions is coated with a coating including a first layer containing a first material having a lower standard electrode potential than the sheet metal material. The coating includes a second layer in the first region which is absent in the second region. The second layer is arranged underneath the first layer and contains a second material that has a lower standard electrode potential than the first material.

Contact ring for highly dynamic applications
A contact ring including a ring-shaped structure formed of an electrically conductive material. The ring-shaped structure has a plurality of projections on at least one side and a plurality of blades on at least one side. The projections and the blades penetrate an electrically insulating surface layer of each of a pair of contact elements and contact an electrically conductive material of each of the contact elements to electrically connect the contact elements.

DC SOLDERLESS CONNECTOR
Methods and systems for assembling customizable solderless cables for direct current (DC) transmission of electricity to an electronic device. The systems and methods utilize shielded co-axial cable defining first and second opposed ends which may be cut to a desired length as selected by the user. Connectors, which may have a conventional 2.1 mm×5.5 mm DC plug design, include a barrel portion defining a threaded axial passageway. In use, the threaded passageway of the plug is twisted upon a respective end of the cable such that the end of the cable becomes threadedly seated thereinto and in electrical contact with the plug to form two dedicated electrical connections. A respective other plug is mounted on the other respective end of the cable in the same manner to thus define the customizable cable. A single length of cable or a plurality of wire segments and plugs may be sold as a pre-packaged unit for use in making a plurality of customizable DC cables.
Floor ground clamp
An electrical grounding clamp is provided, wherein the clamp includes a U-bolt, an inner clamp part connected to the U-bolt to clamp a floor support between the inner clamp part and the U-bolt and an outer clamp part connected to the U-bolt to clamp a conductor between the inner clamp part and the outer clamp part, wherein at least one of the inner clamp part and the outer clamp part is pivotable about one leg of the U-bolt to releasably engage the other leg of the U-bolt.

Coaxial cable and connector assembly
A coaxial cable-connector assembly includes a coaxial cable and a coaxial connector. The coaxial cable includes: an inner conductor having a termination end, the termination end including a bore; a dielectric layer that overlies the inner conductor; an outer conductor that overlies the dielectric layer having a termination end; and a jacket that overlies the outer conductor. The coaxial connector includes: an inner conductor body including a boss that encircles the termination end of the inner conductor and a longitudinal bore; an outer conductor body electrically connected with the termination end of the outer conductor; and an expansion member inserted into the bore of the termination end of the inner conductor, the expansion member being sized and configured to radially expand the termination end of the inner conductor into electrical contact with the boss of the inner conductor body.
