ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR SYSTEM WITH CYLINDRICAL TERMINAL BODY
A connector system for electrically connecting a power source to other power distribution components or assemblies, for example in a motor vehicle. This connector system includes a male connector assembly with an electrically conductive male terminal assembly having a male terminal body and an internal spring assembly. The male terminal body includes contact arms with irregular outer peripheries configured to reduce the insertion force associated with the male terminal body. The internal spring assembly includes a spring member and a spring holder that ensures and maintains proper relative positioning or alignment of the internal spring member within the male terminal assembly. The connector system also includes a female connector assembly with a female terminal assembly that receives the male terminal assembly and the spring assembly.
BACKSHELL GUARD FOR AN AVIONICS UNIT
A guard for a backshell of an aircraft avionics unit is disclosed herein. The guard includes a guard body having a first feature formed therein to slidably receive a first portion of the backshell, a second feature formed therein to slidably receive a second portion of the backshell and a third feature formed therein to protectively cover a mating connector area when the backshell has been slid into the guard body.
Conductor Connection Device as Well as Printed Circuit Board and Utility Meter Comprising Same
A conductor connection device with a contact element at one side thereof, a printed circuit board with the conductor connection device, and a utility meter with the printed circuit board are provided. In order to reduce production costs of the conductor connection device without increasing the production costs of the printed circuit board or the utility meter and without affecting operational safety, the conductor connection device comprises a conductor clamping element that is accessible via the second side thereof, and the printed circuit board comprises a through-hole that is aligned with the conductor clamping element.
FIELD-CONNECTABLE CABLE CAP WITH POWER INDICATOR
A field-connectable cable cap for a heating cable in which the cable cap includes a power indicator that illuminates when sufficient power is supplied to the distal end of the heating cable. The indicator gives an installer or a user an indication that the heating cable is functioning properly the entire length of the heating cable. The cable cap may further include a connection feature, such as an aperture, that provides a connection point for a cable pulling device such as a fish tape.
POWER-SOURCE CONNECTOR INCLUDING TERMINAL-CONTACT PREVENTION MECHANISM AND POWER-SOURCE CONNECTOR DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME
A power-source connector includes a power-source terminal and a housing that supports the power-source terminal. The housing includes at least two adjoining insertion ports, each partitioned by a partitioning member and through any of which an electrically conductive member is inserted, and a housing space, connected to the insertion ports. The power-source terminal includes a contact portion, disposed in the housing space and being contactable with the electrically conductive member inserted through any of the at least two adjoining insertion ports. The contact portion is disposed so as to extend across the at least two adjoining insertion ports.
POWER ADAPTER HOUSING WITH SNAPS CAPABLE OF BI-DIRECTIONAL DEFLECTION
A power adapter is disclosed. The power adapter includes housing parts that carries electronic components. To secure the housing parts together, one housing part includes snaps and another housing part includes protrusions and rails. During assembly, the protrusions slide under the snap, causing the snap to deflect in one direction, while the rails slide over the snap, which keeps the snap partially flat but also causes the snap to deflect in another direction. The engagement (during assembly) of the rails and the protrusions to opposing surfaces of the snap cause bi-directional deflection/bending of the snap. When each protrusion is positioned into an opening of the snap, the snap returns to a flat, non-deflected state, and the housing parts are secured together by the snap, protrusions, and rails. The rails support the snaps by limiting or preventing additional deflection of the snap, which subsequently promotes the housing remaining together.
Metering and measuring point system for measuring and metering electrical energy/electricity and method
An inductive drawing or feeding device for inductively drawing off or feeding in electrical energy/electricity by electric vehicles is connected to a power grid. The inductive drawing or feeding device includes a measuring device configured to measure at least one physical parameter representing the electrical energy inductively transmitted through the associated drawing or feeding device. The inductive drawing or feeding device also includes an identifier for identifying the owner of the connection of the inductive drawing or feeding device. The inductive drawing of feeding device further includes a comparing device configured to compare the at least one physical parameter measured at a connecting side with at least one physical parameter measured at a drawing off or feeding side.
